00:00the most important and I do think when you don't have as much veteran experience,
00:05so to speak, I think it's super important for young guys and
00:07new guys to get reps and be able to really try and
00:10culminate some experience through getting reps now.
00:13Just to be able to see what we can do, but I've been really,
00:15really impressed with the younger guys or
00:17the guys that haven't played quite honestly up to this point.
00:19In terms of the retention of information, their execution, and
00:22then just trying to continue on the physicality aspect.
00:25Will Diskey started on the defensive line and
00:27came over to the tight end room.
00:29Have you got your eyes on anybody on the defensive line?
00:31Every day, I always talk with Coach Kapusi and always kind of joke and
00:35just like, hey, he'd be really, really good at catching touchdowns.
00:38So anytime that I can look at a guy like Dirty, he's like, hey man,
00:41you like catching touchdowns or not?
00:43But I do think we have a couple guys that in the tight end room that
00:49will just continue to grow and continue to get better.
00:51Owen Knoots likes to catch touchdown passes.
00:54He went for that big one down there.
00:56What's it like to have his athleticism?
00:59I just know this is, Owen for a big body and
01:04natural ball catching ability was just, it was too much matched for
01:09him not to be able to have an opportunity to showcase his skill set.
01:12And what he can do in terms of being a red zone target and threat.
01:15And it's been very, very cool to see over the last couple days,
01:18not just in the red zone, but specifically down the middle,
01:20contested balls, and with his ability to run,
01:23very, very excited to see how he continues to grow as well.
01:26How valuable is it, I mean, to at least have one guy who's played a lot?
01:31Sure.
01:31Around a lot, an older guy?
01:33I think having anybody that's been around many, many different NFL tight ends.
01:40Just from his experience in his time here with a couple different position coaches
01:44and staffs, just knowing how those older guys worked and
01:48what it looks like in terms of daily operation, daily commitment to excellence,
01:53daily commitment to nutrition and taking care of your body.
01:56And then just being able to play in big games.
01:59Catching a touchdown in the Pac-12 championship game, he's made plays.
02:03And I think that confidence of knowing the speed of the game, I think,
02:05helps a lot of the younger guys.
02:08Cuz he's able to break things down from a first person vantage point.
02:11And I think that's powerful in terms of being able to grow a younger room.
