00:17I think from Mavs perspective going into the offseason, the big question is Derek Jones
00:20Jr.
00:21How likely do you think it is the Mavs are able to keep DJJ?
00:24Yeah, it's just a matter of, I think there's a couple ways you can go about it.
00:28I think, you know, you'd have to create some room to go out and just from the flexibility
00:33standpoint because the most you can offer him is where you are financially is $5.2 million.
00:38And this is a guy that's made $26 million in his career.
00:41So he's, of course, you know, he's looking for probably, you know, a significant pay
00:45and raise, you know, $10 to $12 million in that direction.
00:50So yeah, it's just a matter of kind of who the odd man out is.
00:52And it's not, it's not, you know, Dante or Hardy or, you know, some of the guys, you
00:58know, on the low end.
00:59It's basically like, are you willing to move Tim to basically afford, you know, Derek?
01:04Are you willing to move Maxie, I'm just throwing out contracts that are, you know, that $11,
01:08$12 million range.
01:09Are you willing to move Dwight Powell, for example, I mean, a little bit less.
01:13But that's going to be the big thing.
01:14I think you would love for, and this Bobby Portis did this back in Milwaukee about three
01:19or four years ago.
01:20You would love for Derek to come in and say, you know, we're going to take a two-year deal
01:26at $5.2 million, player option for next year.
01:29And what that does is it accrues early bird rights for next year.
01:32And you can give him a $12 to $13 million contract, and you won't have to, you know,
01:38trade a player there.
01:39But that, you know, that comes with the price.
