ಜೂನ್ 25 ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ 50 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ. ಇದು ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ “ಕಪ್ಪು ಚುಕ್ಕೆ” ಎಂದು ಟೀಕಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ದೇಶದ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಜನರಿಗೆ ನಾಟಕ, ಅವಾಂತರ ಬೇಡ. ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸತ್ವ ಬೇಕು, ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲ. ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷ, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
