Ingredients

For the Spicy Beef Curry:
- 500g Halal beef (cut into cubes)
- 3 tablespoons oil ️
- 1 large onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 3 green chilies (sliced) ️
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder ️
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

For the Rice:
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil or ghee ️

Instructions

Prepare the Spicy Beef Curry:

1. Heat the Oil:
- In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant. ️➡️

2. Sauté the Onions:
- Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they become golden brown. ➡️

3. Add Ginger-Garlic Paste:
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears. ➡️

4. Cook the Tomatoes:
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy. ➡️

5. Add the Spices:
- Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground coriander, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate from the masala. ️➡️

6. Add the Beef:
- Add the beef cubes to the pot and stir well to coat them with the spice mixture. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. ➡️

7. Add Water and Simmer:
- Add enough water to cover the beef. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 1-1.5 hours, or until the beef is tender. ➡️➡️⏳

8. Add Garam Masala:
- Sprinkle the garam masala over the curry and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes. ➡️

9. Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice. ️✨

1. Rinse the Rice:
- Rinse the basmati rice in cold water until the water runs clear. ➡️

2. Cook the Rice:
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the salt and oil or ghee. ️➡️
- Add the rinsed rice to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. ➡️

3. Fluff the Rice:
- Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork. ➡️
