Unravelling Systemic Injustice in West Bengal: A Cry for Accountability . #PoliticalExploitation

In West Bengal, appeals for justice to national leaders like the President, Prime Minister, or Home Minister are redirected to state authorities under constitutional pretexts. This bureaucratic shuffle inadvertently tips off local police and compromised district administrations, often in collusion with land sharks. Overnight, ponds are filled with black sand, paving the way for lucrative multi-storey developments despite confirmatory soil and water tests. Yet, no complaints or witnesses emerge, even as emergency hospital routes are obstructed by raucous late-night programmes.

Senior women endure harassment in silence, shielded offenders backed by political clout. Meanwhile, even retired government employees find their legitimate grievances dismissed as trivial or fabricated. Maintenance records vanish, strategic manipulations favour cronies, and essential services like lifts remain unreliable, exacerbating hardships for seniors and the disabled until recent years.

This systemic corruption and exploitation undermine societal trust, demotivating and distracting our youth, impacting their aspirations and futures. The retirement dreams of our elders are similarly shattered. This narrative exposes a deep-seated injustice, where common citizens lack protection and accountability. Addressing these issues requires not just awareness but urgent action to restore justice and integrity in Bengal.
