This process inadvertently alerts compromised local police and district administrations, entwined with land sharks. It leads to swift alterations in the ground reality, such as covertly filling ponds with black sand at night, later repurposed for lucrative multi-storey constructions. Despite confirming soil and water tests, no witnesses or complaints surface, even when emergency lanes to hospitals are blocked by late-night noisy programmes.

Senior women endure harassment without witnesses, contrasting starkly with the impunity enjoyed by politically backed individuals. For instance, a senior lady faced six months of stalking by an apartment night guard and a renter. Opposition leaders receive central government protection when protesting injustices, unlike ordinary citizens left to suffer without recourse. Even retired government employees find their wards stigmatised as psychics, despite credible credentials and prior media coverage.

This systemic abuse includes vanishing apartment maintenance records since October 2006, with orchestrated manipulations favouring specific parties. Basic services like lifts remained unreliable until 2019, disproportionately affecting seniors and the disabled.

This situation highlights a broader issue of injustice and inadequate protection for Bengal's common people, necessitating urgent accountability and compensation to restore justice and integrity.
