00:54Cavitex C5 Link, Sukat Interchange was inaugurated under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
01:00According to the President,
01:02it will connect the main roads in Sukat towards Cavitex
01:06as a means for motorists and products to travel faster.
01:10With this interchange,
01:12motorists will now be able to travel smoothly, safely, and conveniently from Cavitex R1 to Sukat, Paranaque within just five minutes.
01:23It is a dramatic improvement from the usual one-hour travel time via existing public roads from Cavitex.
01:30According to the President,
01:32more than 20,000 motorists are expected to benefit from the so-called expressway.
01:36Before you know it,
01:38the 23,000 motorists that we are estimating for now
01:44that will fill up very quickly as soon as they see the advantages of traveling
01:51from what is really the bypass and circular route around the city.
01:56And to make the so-called expressway even more beneficial,
01:59it will be opened to the public today.
02:01The President said that the Philippine Reclamation Authority or PRA recommended
02:06that it be the operator of Cavitex to suspend the collection of toll fees for all types of vehicles
02:14that pass through the Manila-Cavite toll expressway in Taguig, Paranaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, and Kawit.
02:20We welcome this call and thank the PRA for its initiative to help mitigate the impact
02:25of rising fuel costs to our motorists.
02:28I now count on our Toll Regulatory Board to ensure the immediate implementation
02:35for the benefit of the riding and the transport public.
02:40The President also prioritized ground breaking and capsule laying
02:43for the construction of Segment 3B of the Cavitex C5 Link Expressway.
02:48This two-kilometer road will connect Cavitex, Paranaque, and C5 Road in Taguig,
02:54a target to be completed by next year.
02:57That is a good thing because that means that the traffic that is going
03:01from the different parts of the country,
03:05up north, down south, and no longer through Manila,
03:11will immediately enjoy all those benefits
03:15of a much easier, much faster, and much simpler.
03:21And we don't need to worry that much about traffic as we are having to do now.
03:27Meanwhile, President Marcos Jr. also prioritized the ground breaking ceremony
03:31of Cavitex Calax Link Segment 4.
03:34This is a 1.3-kilometer long two-lane expressway that starts at the Tirona Highway
03:39where 22,000 vehicles can be used every day.
03:44It is estimated that Php 2.2 billion was invested in the project
03:48that is targeted to be completed by August 2025.
