DENR partners with Sweden on sustainable mining in PH

00:00The Department of Environment and Natural Resources on Tuesday announced their partnership

00:04with Team Sweden in a move to hopefully achieve zero net emissions by 2045.

00:10According to the DENR, the Philippines is capable of enhancing mining infrastructure

00:15to leverage on the country's mineral wealth through adherence of sustainable

00:19and responsible mining practices. Team Sweden, composed of the Embassy of Sweden

00:24and Business Sweden, will be sharing their expertise in mining technology,

00:29including automation system and battery-driven electric fleets, as they foster a strong

00:34partnership with the Philippines. Both the DENR and Team Sweden aim to promote

00:39sustainable mining practices through the adoption of green technologies and practices.
