00:00Meanwhile, a double downpour is now passing through some places in the Camanava area.

00:06Because of the heavy rain, not only the rain brought by Hurricane Christine,

00:11but also the high tide.

00:13Isaiah Mirafuentes is in the center of the news.

00:19Many places in the Camanava area were submerged in the flood.

00:22This is the result of heavy rain accompanied by high tide.

00:26In Malabon, almost none of the roads were passed by in the early morning.

00:31In Bungad Palang ng Lungsod, the flood water was almost up to the tip of the nose.

00:36Even in Barangay San Agustin in Malabon, near City Hall,

00:40the water was very deep and the cars could not pass through.

00:44Most of the roads are like a big parking space for the cars of the residents

00:50so that it would not be submerged in the flood.

00:52In Lavotas, many roads were also flooded.

00:55In Barangay Tanzaulo na Votas,

00:57almost 100 families were evacuated because of Hurricane Christine.

01:03Most of the residents were in the at-risk area, mostly in the riverway.

01:07Some of our evacuees were evacuated because of the strong winds,

01:13also the at-risk of flood.

01:15According to the residents who were evacuated,

01:17they were afraid because the roofs of their houses were flying because of the strong wind.

01:24Just like Sherry Lina's family,

01:26who experienced for the first time to go to the evacuation center.

01:30I was really afraid of the strong winds.

01:32I was not able to escape because of the strong winds.

01:35I felt different last night because the wind was very strong.

01:40There was a portion of the roof of my house that was about to fall off.

01:43They were also afraid that their navigational floodgate might be destroyed again

01:48just like what happened in Bagyong Karina

01:50where the water was almost up to the tip of the nose in their area.

01:53In the city of Valenzuela,

01:55earlier this morning,

01:56the small vehicles were not able to cross the MacArthur Highway.

02:01Almost 170 families went to their evacuation center.

02:07I can say that we are ready knowing that part of Valenzuela is low-lying.

02:13So we have all the assets.

02:16Well, after the recent typhoons,

02:19we put all our efforts in cleaning the drainage.

02:23In fact, we used our calamity funds to buy mobile pumps.

02:27While the floodwaters in Caloocana reached up to Baywang,

02:33most of the residents were always on the second floor of their houses.
