00:00Jack, the United States of America has benefited for nearly two and a half centuries from having
00:07one of the world's best, most objective judicial systems in the entire world.
00:17While no system run by fallible, mortal human beings can be described as perfect, ours is
00:24as good a system as has ever existed in the world, as certainly good as any that exists
00:30in the world today.
00:32At the capstone of that is an entity that exists by virtue, by operation of the Constitution,
00:37the Supreme Court of the United States.
00:39And this solution, the solution that's being ran through today, this is a solution in search
00:43of a problem that would itself create another problem for which there would be no solution.
00:49That problem would, in turn, turn one of our greatest strengths, an independent functioning
00:56judicial system, one that has preserved the rule of law in this country for nearly two
01:01and a half centuries, into something of a more political animal.
01:05It's not what we want.
01:07It's not what the Constitution contemplates.
01:09It's not what we've benefited from.
01:11And why?
01:12We must ask the question, why?
01:16Is there any grave moral offense that's been committed?
01:19No.
01:20And is there any grave violation of law that's been committed?
01:22No.
01:23Is there any violation of law that's been committed at all?
01:25No.
01:26There is not.
01:27What we have here is something very, very cynical.
01:31And what we have is that people on the left have a couple of cases currently pending before
01:38the Supreme Court of the United States, cases that they're worried about the outcome, cases
01:45in which they're worried that certain justices might rule against them.
01:50And they have some justices they don't like.
01:52They have some justices that they worry are going to reject the bad arguments that they've
01:57made in those cases.
01:59And so rather than double down on making sure that their arguments are good and that they're
02:04persuasive and recognizing that they're not going to win all cases, they're threatening,
02:09they're intimidating the justices.
02:14They're making, it's not just a mountain out of a molehill.
02:21They're making a mountain out of nothing.
02:23And they're doing this specifically to harass, threaten, and intimidate certain members of
02:29the Supreme Court in order to influence the outcome of pending litigation.
02:33And make no mistake, that is what's going on here.
02:35They're trying to trigger more recusals, recusals of those justices they don't like.
02:41The legislation they're offering would create more problems in this, would make it easier
02:45for them to trigger more recusals.
02:47This is not a good outcome.
02:49This is a political effort to influence the resolution of pending litigation before the
02:58Supreme Court of the United States and to threaten justices that don't toe the woke
03:03line.
03:06So Madam President, I withhold my objection at this moment.
03:11Is there an objection?
