00:04This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave to Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Sharto.

00:13The President warmly welcomed the Hungarian official yesterday in Malacanang.

00:19President Marcos Jr. shared the Philippines' willingness and readiness for new partnerships

00:25with Hungary for a stronger economic tie between the two countries.

00:32According to the President, although there are many challenges,

00:35he hopes that the relationship between the two countries will become stronger

00:40and that new opportunities will be created that will be beneficial for the development.

00:45Mr. Sharto welcomed the President's invitation

00:49and also gave the good results of the partnership between the two countries in the past years.

00:56This is Sharto's third visit to the country.

00:59In 2023, Hungary became the 46th trading partner of the Philippines,

01:04while the 30th when it comes to the export market and the 64th in the import source.

01:11The diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Hungary were established on September 28, 1973.
