00:00Hi there, northerly winds stay with us for the next couple of days and overnight as showers
00:05begin to ease and clear spells become more prevalent, it's going to turn rather chilly
00:11in places. Still though, there will be further showers arriving into the north and the east
00:16through the night and some patchy cloud and showers continuing elsewhere. Northern Ireland
00:21for example, parts of Wales, north-west England, but many of the showers will tend to fade
00:26away or become restricted to coast overnight and as a result clear spells will become much
00:32more commonplace. Under those clear skies, 7 or 8 Celsius widely, but in some sheltered
00:37spots we could see 3 or 4 Celsius and as a result a grass frost is possible first thing
00:43Tuesday. But despite the chill, in the air actually there will be plenty of sunshine
00:47around first thing, particularly for southern England through the Midlands, parts of Wales,
00:50Northern Ireland for example. Further showers will develop through the morning and once
00:54again just about anywhere could be affected by a shower or two into the afternoon. However,
00:59most of the showers will by the afternoon affect northern, central and eastern England.
01:04The odd heavy downpour here as well and it's going to feel particularly cool in the north
01:09and the east on the coast, 12 to 13 Celsius at best. Towards the south-west, fewer showers,
01:15a better chance of some sunny spells coming through. Of course, out of the wind at this
01:20time of year the sun is strong, so moderate to high UV levels and temperatures of 17 or
01:2618 Celsius out of the breeze won't feel too unpleasant. But that breeze certainly is on
01:32the cool side, it comes all the way from the Arctic and it will continue into Tuesday night
01:38as well, particularly towards the north and the east. Lighter winds in general elsewhere
01:43and more prevalent clear skies, so as a result I think Wednesday is going to start off fairly
01:49chilly as well with temperatures widely in the single figures. But plenty of sunshine
01:55on Wednesday morning, particularly for northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, Wales, western
01:59England and this ridge of high pressure is going to settle things down only for about
02:0424 hours or so on Wednesday before this area of low pressure swings the next frontal system
02:10in from the west for Thursday followed by showers as we end the week. There will be
02:15some showers on Wednesday, east Midlands into east Anglia, the south-east of England, the
02:20odd heavy downpour, but for many those showers will be easing, some thicker cloud and some
02:26more prolonged rain there for Orkney, the far north-east of Scotland, a cool breeze
02:29continuing. But otherwise, Wednesday away from those showery parts of eastern UK, Wednesday
02:36is going to be a fine day with sunny spells in the west, but once again temperatures below
02:41par for the time of year, 15-18C in the south-west, 12-13C in the north-east. Then after the rain
02:48goes through on Thursday, it's a showery outlook for Friday and into the weekend, some heavy
02:54downpours out there, but also some sunshine and temperatures will begin to recover a little.
