00:00Jakob you just won a time trial in Luxembourg. Does it make you a favorite for this time trial?
00:06Yeah possibly but I'm not the one to judge but yeah I have big ambitions today and
00:15yeah I think for sure I think that I can do a good result for sure and it's just to
00:23really focus on myself. What about this hill in the middle of the time trial?
00:29It makes everything interesting but normally I'm pretty good in pacing and I know where I
00:37how hard I can go where and I think this this can both help me and of course there are some
00:43guys who are better in the climb but I think I can I count with it and I can come to the
00:50climb pretty fresh hopefully and have a lot in reserve for it. A very specific time trial to
00:57start with. What do you think of the course? Yeah exactly it's a really special time trial to start
01:04here in Oster. The course is really technical and also pretty hard with the steep climb we have in
01:09the middle so I think there you can lose quite a lot of time but then also in the descent you still
01:16need to push. You have some credentials in time trialing. Do you think you have a good chance to
01:22do something and what about your teammates? Yeah I think for me this course suits me pretty well
01:28because I prefer it if it's harder up and down and not just full flat so I think I can do a
01:34good performance here and also with my teammate Aivaras Mikotis I think we have two pretty good
01:40cards for this. Jürgen you come to Giro Next Gen with a very high reputation. Do you feel the
01:47pressure? Yeah not really it's my first time in such a big race and a long stage race so
01:54I'm mostly here to learn and to support the team if that's going for my own results or
02:01helping the other guys we will see but yeah I'm looking forward to it. How have you
02:05prepared for it? I have actually been at home for the most of the time and finishing off school and
02:11having my final exams so yeah a lot back home in Lillehammer but a good amount of training so
02:17yeah it's been nice. Are you targeting some stages? Yeah I think all the climbers and
02:24for the GT the third and the sixth stage will be definitely the hardest and most important
02:30with the mountain finishes so yeah for me as well that will be the main objectives.
02:36How much of an advantage is it that your team has different cards to play? Yeah we definitely
02:42have a good team here and we're yeah three four guys who has a good climb and yeah we'll see
02:50hopefully everyone survives the first stage and we can go into the third stage with a lot of
02:56guys to play for the win. Is it an advantage to be part of the same team that does the Giro?
03:03Yes an advantage for me is to stay on the same team because we have the same staff and
03:14it's a good work for the staff and for our rider. What are your favourite stages?
03:22Favourite stages is the Seste that arrives in Fosse. I think it's too hard for the rider.
03:33Yeah I don't know. Jarno you just won the Iser Alp Tour. Alp means mountains. Does it make you
03:42one of the favourites of the Giro next gen? We will see but I think yeah I'm here to win the
03:48Giro next generation so that's the reason that I'm here. How important is this race for you
03:56in your first season in the U23 category? I think it's the most important race of the year for me
04:04it's my big goal yeah I'm gonna learn a lot so we will see what happens. Are you looking
04:11forward to the mountains? Oh yeah it's my specialty so I will see. How is your motivation
04:20ahead of Giro next gen? Yeah I'm really motivated I think we have a really strong team here at the
04:25start and last year we showed already what we can add to this race and yeah I think we want to
04:32let's see the same this year. What is the goal? Yeah I think we have two guys Huub and me where
04:38we can go for GC but all the other guys are also strong in their own disciplines like we have
04:44Zeno good sprinter Simone and Victor are also really punchy and Tim is also really good on
04:52the long climbs so we have all our specialty and if we work really well together as a team we can
04:58bring it to a really good end I think.
