Transcript
00:00What is the takeaway? I guess for fans. I know there's an
00:02overall message of friendship and ride or die, whatever,
00:05but each film I think has a different little nugget.
00:08What do you think the takeaway for fans are from the fourth
00:11installment?
00:12You know, there's a that so, you know, for us in the,
00:16you know, the first movie what we were playing with and we
00:18weren't as good at it. And in the first movie, we were
00:21playing with identity, right? And then in the second film,
00:26we were playing with lies, right? And then the third film
00:31is when we got like
00:33intelligent about the underlying thematic premise of
00:37movies, right? So in the third movie grow or die,
00:42right? Was the was the thematic focus and in this film to me,
00:47which was one of the biggest possibilities and we took we
00:50took a big reach for this one and you know, Marcus's
00:54character has has a
00:57spiritual experience and his
01:01his character is trying to get Mike to trust the universe,
01:06you know, and it's like to me, you know, we don't we don't
01:09compromise being a popcorn movie, but I love the idea that
01:14of having something that poignant that we're trying to
01:18say in a bad boys movie and just hiding it under the beauty
01:22and comedy of what we're trying to trying to do for a summer
01:27audience. And he's saying this without giving the story away.
01:30Yeah.
