00:00Productivo. That is how President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. described his inaugural state visit to Brunei Darussalam and working visit to Singapore.
00:10In Brunei, the President had the opportunity to visit Sultan Bolquia, where they discussed the strengthening of bilateral ties between the Philippines and Brunei.
00:20In fact, three Memorandums of Agreement were signed, including the Tourism Cooperation, which will provide roadmaps to the tourism department of the two countries for the strengthening of tourism of each.
00:32The MOU on International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers or STCW was also signed, which is known as the National Certificates of Filipino Seafarers in Brunei.
00:46The MOU on Maritime Cooperation, which was also signed in Brunei, is more in line with the foundation for the maritime activities of the two countries.
00:55The Letter of Intent on Agricultural Cooperation was also signed, which will strengthen the cooperation of the two countries on food security.
01:03In addition to these successes on the bilateral front, we also further assure Brunei that it can count on the Philippines' support on regional affairs, as we stated our clear position for Brunei to establish the ASEAN Center for Climate Change.
01:18The President invited the Philippines' potential as an investment hub to the Business Forum in Brunei, where the Agribusiness, Renewable Energy, Halal Development and others were highlighted.
01:30The established linkages between the Philippines and Brunei business sectors are expected to yield significant commercial benefits, including increased trade and investment opportunities, enhanced market access for goods and services, and the sharing of technological innovations and best practices.
01:48The President also assured Bruneian businessmen that the country will continue to invite potential investors in the renewable energy sector to strengthen the economic trajectory of the Philippines.
02:00The President also had the opportunity to visit the Filipino community in Brunei.
02:05During our engagement, I assured them of my administration's tireless endeavors and projects in ensuring their safety and well-being.
