00:24 In his press briefing, the Foreign Affairs Department said that the President's first state visit to Brunei is already scheduled,
00:32 where he will be meeting with Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolquia.
00:37 The two leaders are expected to discuss the strengthening of the relationship between the two countries,
00:42 particularly in the discussion of the economy, as well as people-to-people relations.
00:48 "We want to focus in on economic cooperation. As you know, Brunei is a powerhouse in terms of energy, but they are also a good market for us."
01:02 It is also expected that some Memorandum of Understanding will be signed,
01:06 which includes priority areas such as agriculture, food security, maritime cooperation and tourism.
01:13 The President will also lead a series of business forums in Brunei to encourage potential investors to invest in the country.
01:22 "The President will meet with top members of the business sectors to promote trade and investment relations between the Philippines and Brunei, Darussalam."
01:33 The Filipino community will also visit the executive building there to find out their situation and to inform the government's programs for them.
01:41 In Singapore, the President will give a keynote speech at the International Institute for Strategic Studies or IISS Shangri-La Dialogue,
01:51 which is a first for a President of the Philippines.
01:55 The IISS is a think tank organization for defense issues.
02:00 It will give a way to the country to discuss and address some regional and global security challenges.
02:08 "It will be an important platform for us to actually also convey our positions relative to what is happening within the region and what we are advocating for."
02:20 On the sideline of the activity, President Marcos Jr. is expected to assist the newly elected President and Prime Minister of Singapore.

02:35 And of course, we want to ensure that the relationship continues under the new administration in Singapore."
