BOC posts P12.4-B collection surplus from January to mid-May

00:00The Bureau of Customs or BOC reported a 12.41 billion peso surplus from January to mid-May,
00:07exceeding its target by 3.9%, with collections of 330.27 billion pesos, a 7% increase from
00:16last year.
00:18In the first quarter, the BOC made 132 apprehensions, seizing 28.02 billion pesos in goods, including
00:26counterfeits and illegal drugs, and the marking of 7.01 billion liters of fuel.
00:33The BOC stressed the importance of these efforts for financial stability and committed to enhancing
00:39operations to meet national objectives.
