DBM, tiniyak na mababayaran ang Health Emergency Allowances ng healthcare workers sa 2025

00:00The Department of Budget and Management promised to pay the health emergency allowance
00:05of healthcare workers in the country by the end of 2025.
00:09According to the Senate Committee on Health and Demography,
00:12Budget Secretary Amena Pangandaman said that they have already given P91.2 billion
00:19to the Department of Health for the Public Health Emergency Benefits and Allowances
00:25that cover all healthcare workers from 2021 to 2023,
00:30of which P73.2 billion was allocated to the HEA.
00:35The Special Risk Allowance for COVID-19 Sickness and Death was included in the FEBA,
00:41as well as additional benefits such as food, accommodation,
00:46and transportation allowances for healthcare workers.
00:50The DBM's strategy on how to fund the remaining P27.7 billion for the HEA was also included in the FEBA,
01:00including P2.3 billion of unprogrammed appropriations,
01:06depending on how much the government will earn.
01:10Health Secretary Ted Herbosa thanked the Senate Committee on Health and DBM
01:15for their assistance in resolving all issues related to the HEA.
