00:00 Well, moving on to Harvey Elliott, obviously there's been, you know, there's a few players this summer that Liverpool are going to look at and they're going to sort of ask the question whether they're going to be able to make this transition from Jurgen Klopp's time to a new sort of era under Arne Slott.
00:16 I mean, how does Harvey Elliott sort of, you know, fit into Slott's plans?
00:21 Because it's a role he's played, which has been, you know, further forward or dropping back.
00:26 He's been fantastic for Liverpool this season.
00:29 How does he sort of fit in and, you know, how can you see his future going under a new manager?
00:36 Yeah, I think the main aim for Harvey Elliott is to start more games as his career progresses.
00:44 He's been on the periphery of the starting XI for a lot of the season, but he's made an impact when he has come on in most games.
00:51 And maybe that's why Jurgen Klopp has confined him to that role almost, you know.
00:57 He says, 'If we need you, you can come on and make an impact.'
01:01 And it is a bit of a backhand of compliments, isn't it?
01:03 Because, you know, it's a role that you know you can do well, but every footballer wants to be starting games.
01:09 And he's just turned 21 now and he's starting to really show consistency as well.
01:14 There have been games when he has started this season and he's been subbed a half-time or maybe early in the second half because it's not quite worked.
01:21 And maybe that's justified why he's been more of an impact player.
01:25 But it's so easy to forget he's 21, you know, the same age as, say, Gerard Kwan, who's enjoying a breakthrough campaign.
01:33 Conor Bradley, I think, is only a few months older than him as well.
01:38 And he's been around this first team for so long, I think you maybe forget how young he is.
01:46 Still playing for England when he was the captain now.
01:49 And yet his aim will be to break into any sort of plans.
01:53 And I think going forwards, I think he needs to be utilised more as a midfielder than a right winger.
02:02 He hasn't got the pace to be a winger, I don't think.
02:05 And for me, he's performed better as a centre midfielder.
02:10 And we saw his goal, he scores against Tottenham, that he can cut in size and maybe needs to start having a goal more.
02:18 So he's got a big future to play.
02:20 There's a lot of options in midfield, as we know.
02:23 I don't think it's an area that Arnie Slott will be looking to address in the summer.
02:26 Maybe another defensive midfielder if there is one.
02:28 But in terms of the number eight roles, there's a lot of competition there.
02:32 And Harvey Elliott needs to convince the new manager that he can be that regular player on the right-hand side of the middle three.
02:43 And if he has a good end to the season, Arnie Slott will be looking at this and thinking,
02:47 "I like this lad, I'm going to give him a goal in pre-season."
02:50 Elliott will just be looking to do well.
02:54 And if a call-up comes, I'm sure he would take it with both hands.
02:57 Bye.
