00:00Middlesbrough head coach Michael Carrick has been previewing Borough's FA Cup third round clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend.
00:10Both sides are doing very well in the championship this season, both competing for a place in the playoffs come the end of the season in May,
00:18but they meet in the FA Cup third round, both hoping to progress to round four.
00:24Carrick made clear that Borough have learned from previous FA Cup experience in recent seasons when they came up against sides from the Premier League.
00:33Defeats at home against Brighton and Hove Albion in 2023 and then against Aston Villa at home in 2024 have been valuable learning experiences according to Carrick.
00:45They must now take what they learned in those games into the encounter with Blackburn Rovers as they hope to once again go on a cup run under Carrick,
00:54following the excitement of a run to the semi-finals of the League Cup last season.
