00:11was appointed head coach at the Riverside in October of 2022,
00:15with Borough sat inside the Championship's relegation zone, but by the end of that season,
00:21Carrick had guided the side to a fourth-place finish in the league and a spot in the play-offs.
00:26Borough would go on to lose their semi-final 1-0 over Two Legs against Coventry,
00:31but Carrick had instilled new belief in the club.
00:34In 2023-24, despite a tricky start at the campaign, Borough again began to pick up results
00:40and although they ultimately missed out on the play-offs, a run to the semi-finals of the
00:44Caraval Cup further endeared Carrick to the Borough faithful. With a new contract, those
00:49on Teesside will be hoping that he has given the tools to once again guide Middlesbrough to the
00:54play-offs and possibly beyond.
