00:00in the championship, and it's fair to say it's not been a great first part of the season
00:07for the Bluebirds. Struggling in the championship is what they are, down towards the bottom.
00:12Of course they have been in League One before, but that's not somewhere they'd like to go
00:15again any time soon, but that is unfortunately the real threat that they are faced with.
00:21And so, if we're looking back at their season, it's fair to say, as we've said there, they
00:24haven't done well. They've struggled for goals, they've struggled for conceding goals as well.
00:30But what has this all come down to, obviously? Cardiff were once a team in the Premier League
00:33who were doing really quite well, and obviously they didn't stay there very long, but since
00:39they went back down, they never really threatened too much to come back up, and all of a sudden
00:43now they're really struggling in the championship, and that's a real shame for such a well-supported
00:48club in South Wales as well. Obviously Swansea have perhaps been a bit more successful in
00:52recent times than them, but it's a real shame for Cardiff, and what can they do to improve
00:58that as well as looking back on what's gone wrong this season?
01:01Yeah, obviously, as you mentioned there, it's been a slow decline since they did come down
01:07from the Premier League. Obviously it was an amazing achievement to go up under Neil
01:11Warnock. It was absolutely fantastic to see, and Cardiff fans didn't really know how lucky
01:17they were to have Warnock with them and trying to steer them into more success. They had
01:25some fantastic cup runs as well in that time. They looked a fantastic side, and when a Welsh
01:32side goes up to the Premier League, it was a massive difference for Wales as a country.
01:36It shows how serious they are, and it shows how fantastic their clubs can be. Obviously
01:41Cardiff and Swansea were in the Premier League at the same time for a few years, which was
01:46fantastic for the nation. I mean, it's just been a very, very slow decline, and now it's
01:51sort of biting them. They are really looking bleak. They took so long to sort out the managerial
01:57situation, which actually led to a letter to the owners from the fans saying they weren't
02:02happy. They just felt like they were left in the dust. They didn't really know where
02:07to turn to, and that's such a shame to see, I think, for any club, any EFL outfit. At
02:12the end of the day, it's something that fans really dedicate their time and money to,
02:17and it's a shame to see. I think they are certainly in the midst of it now, and they
02:22really need to change things. Looking at the season so far, they've conceded only four
02:30clean sheets this season, which is absolutely shocking. Twentieth in the goals conceded
02:38table in the Championship. They've just proven that maybe they're not quite a Championship
02:42outfit so far. They just need to really hope that other clubs go down, really, around them.
02:51The owners have come out and said they are certainly in a relegation battle. A lot needs
02:55to change, I think, for Cardiff to remain in the Championship.
