00:00Hello and welcome to what's on in Wigan this week. Wigan will mark the 80th anniversary
00:08of the D-Day landings on Saturday June 8th. This family-friendly event takes place from
00:1210am in Maynes Park and includes a military vehicle, showcase, entertainment, stalls and
00:18children's funfair. The parade will start from Standishgate at 10.30am into Maynes Park.
00:24It is free to attend and no tickets are required, however some activities may incur a small
00:28charge. Dive into summer fun at Marist Bridge Fest with a day of excitement, laughter and
00:35memory making. Enjoy inflatable rides, food, live music and so much more. It takes place
00:41on Saturday June 8th from 12pm at Marist Bridge Primary School. The annual Scruff Show aimed
00:47at ordinary pet dogs returns to Hay Woodland Park on June 9th. All kinds of categories
00:53will be on show including Best All-Timer, Quickest Sit, Best Party Trick, Best Junior
00:58Handler, Best Rescue and Best in Show. And finally the Tour of Britain Women will be
01:04coming through Wigan Borough on June 9th. They'll come from Black Rod into Aspall and
01:09Hay and will finish at Leigh Sports Village at around 2pm.
