00:00Hello and welcome to what's on in Wigan this week. The Friends of Wallhay are holding a
00:07fun day to celebrate the local airshaft. There will be tours of the airshaft led by local
00:12historian Phil Livesey and a Lego tent where people can build their own version of it.
00:17There will also be arts and crafts activities, children's theatre, entertainment. It takes
00:22place on Saturday June 1st from 10am till 2pm.
00:26Megaslam returns to the DW Stadium on June 2nd for its 2024 live tour. Team Nosti will
00:33battle it out with Team Megaslam in a series of action-packed matches designed to get the
00:37whole family out of their seats. It begins at 3pm and tickets are available online.
00:43Chorley YFC are back again with their pre-harvest hoedown and the Over 18s event takes place
00:49at Standish Hall Farm on Saturday June 1st from 7pm until 1am.
00:56The first ever North Western Invertebrate show will take place at Robin Park on Sunday
01:00June 2nd. As well as trading on the day, there will be workshops with guest speakers and
01:05the famous Wild and Deadly show for kids which starts at 11am.
