00:001MDB, SRC International Sendirian Berhad, and nine local and foreign entities linked

00:08to them have filed a lawsuit against Rosmah Mansor and the fashion designer seeking to

00:12recover a total of US$346 million in misappropriated funds.

00:20The 11 entities, named as plaintiffs, are suing Rosmah and Singaporean designer Shabnam

00:25Narindas Daswani, also known as Natasha Mirpuri, for wrongfully using the funds to purchase

00:32multiple items, including jewelry and handbags.

00:37They claim that the funds were channeled to their recipients through various offshore

00:41companies.

00:42Apart from the claimed sum, the plaintiffs are seeking general, aggravated, and exemplary

00:47damages from the duo.

00:50The court has fixed case management on May 24th.

00:54This is a second civil suit brought against Rosmah, the wife of former Prime Minister

00:59Najib Razak, in connection with the purchase of jewelry.

01:03In an earlier suit, Lebanese jewelry, global royalty trading SAL, is seeking the recovery

01:10of US$14.57 million in connection for 44 jewelry items shipped to her in February 2018.

01:19Rosmah contends they were seized by police and are no longer in her possession.
