03:28 The theme of The Met is the Garden of Time,

03:30 which is a short story.

03:32 This is sort of a enchanted fantasy-like theme.

03:36 It is sort of about life and death of nature in a way.

03:41 The underbelly of nature.

03:43 I don't know, I think that's maybe

03:44 a slightly different approach, edgier approach.

03:47 Of the garden, yes.

03:49 More intriguing approach.

03:51 Than floral.

03:51 Yeah.

03:53 That's one of the most challenging balances

03:54 is making something really beautiful,

03:56 but also giving it the intrigue, of course,

03:59 but also giving it a bit of edge.

04:01 The Met, it's the time to put on a show in a way,

04:05 with your look, right?

04:07 We're thinking for carpet,

04:08 something potentially like a sheer skirt

04:11 that feels like it's decomposing,

04:14 that can detach and then she can either wear

04:16 just the bodysuit and stockings

04:19 or a little mini skirt on top that's a similar vibe.

04:24 something that's unraveling and coming apart

04:28 and feels like it's gonna fall apart

04:30 as you're walking up the steps.

04:34 And we can be playful.

04:36 We're sticking to brown.

11:19 Digital sort of renderings of things

11:23 don't paint the full picture, and I know that.

11:25 I always know that.

11:26 With all the textures and like, you know,

11:29 the different opacities of, is that even a word?

11:33 Let's Google that.

11:34 I don't know, but all these variables in person

11:39 add to the dimension and the texture

11:42 and the feel of the look, but it looks so amazing so far.

11:47 You know, this is the most involved I think Jared and I

11:50 have ever been in designing a dress.

11:54 Obviously the Jean-Paul Gaultier team,

11:57 they're getting down to business.

11:59 They're doing the nitty gritty,

12:00 but Jared and I, we've really gotten to collaborate.

12:05 This is just the most collaborative we've ever been.

12:08 It's nice to feel like you're a part of what you're wearing,

12:12 and I know for a fact that when I put this dress on,

12:15 it's gonna feel like mine because Jared and I,

12:20 and you know, the Jean-Paul Gaultier team

12:25 put our heads together to make this dress for me.

12:28 My God, I sound so conceited,

12:30 but it's not like that.

12:31 It's just, it's like truly me in a way, I think.

12:34 I've been in mine since the day of its conception.

13:48 Right now we're a week out from our first fitting,

13:54 It's happening in Los Angeles.

13:55 A lot of the sort of like chatting and planning

13:57 and discussing has been happening like

14:00 at random hours of the day over text.

14:03 Like Jared and I have had so much stuff going on

14:05 that we haven't been able to like fully sit down

14:08 and talk about anything.

14:09 But this is how shit gets done.

14:13 You know what I mean?

14:13 You just have to like shoot text at 11 p.m. sometimes

14:16 and be like, "Hey, what do you think of this?"

14:17 And then, you know, go back and forth, whatever.

14:19 So that's kind of a lot of what's been happening.

14:21 For one, we started to figure out

14:22 what we're gonna do for hair.

14:24 And Jared had sort of this idea to do

14:27 some sort of kind of clip.

14:29 A clipped up sort of messy sort of hair.

14:31 But we wanna sort of, you know,

14:33 take a clip and re-imagine it using thorns

14:35 and things like that to sort of make the clip feel

14:39 a bit more whimsical and not just like a normal clip.

14:41 We've sort of started to send references

14:43 back and forth for makeup.

14:45 I love this one so much.

14:47 This is really cool too.

14:48 Dark, but with reflection to it, with dimension to it.

14:52 Something a bit greasier, oilier, you know.

14:54 It's all just sort of falling together.

14:56 Also, Jared sent me a picture one random day of the thorns.

15:01 So we ended up going with this bronzier thorn

15:03 for the details on the dress.

15:05 Again, things are happening, things are happening.

15:07 We also just got our first photo of,

15:08 oh, we also, oh my God, I'm sorry.

15:11 We also just got a photo of the microphone mock-up.

15:14 As you can see, there's thorns all over the microphone,

15:17 which is so cool.

15:19 So when I'm doing the interviews,

15:21 my microphone matches my outfit.

15:24 What else have we been discussing?

15:25 We have some shoe mock-ups,

15:27 platforms so that the heel doesn't hurt as much.

15:31 Jean Paul Gaultier started sending sort of sketches

15:33 of what the shoe's gonna look like,

15:34 which is really exciting.

15:35 They're making a shoe from scratch.

15:36 Also a lot of Cartier jewelry.

15:38 We had to choose between these two sets here.

15:41 This top one is what we ended up going with.

15:43 This feels like more nature-esque.

15:47 I feel like these are shapes that you find in nature,

15:49 whereas this is maybe less so.

15:50 We're also figuring out what watch we want.

15:53 I'm leaning towards this one.

15:54 However, I think Jared's leaning towards this one.

15:56 We're really getting somewhere.

15:59 And I'm excited for the fitting.

16:00 It's sort of nerve-wracking though,

16:01 because you want it to be good.

16:15 in a way that makes us all feel proud and excited.

20:28 I'm growing up and a lot of people, I think,

20:34 because I started on the internet at a very young age.

20:37 And so a lot of people know me as a kid, which I get.

20:42 And sometimes I still see myself as a kid.

20:45 My sense of style and identity has evolved so much

20:50 as I've grown up the last few years.

20:52 And I want my looks to reflect that.

20:54 And it can be scary to evolve,

20:56 but we're both excited about it

20:58 because we're excited to make me feel more like

21:01 an adult woman, you know?

21:02 I guess, well, there's a double one, but an adult woman.

21:06 Oh my God, thank God it's getting long.
