00:00 We will talk to House Deputy Speaker J.J. Suarez.
00:04 He's the head of the Pideya Leaks investigation in the Senate.
00:08 Good evening Congressman Suarez. This is Aljo Bendijo of PTV.
00:14 Good evening Aljo. To all the viewers of the program and to all your colleagues there, good evening to all of you.
00:22 Yes, good evening.
00:24 Do you believe in what the former Pideya investigation agent Jonathan Morales said about his plans?
00:35 Absolutely. In all aspects, I don't believe it. I think he's lying and he's just doing his own things in the Senate.
00:53 If I may ask you, should the Senate listen to this issue?
01:00 I think... Actually, I've issued a statement about it.
01:05 It's saddening because of the many problems that our countrymen are facing.
01:11 I hope we can reduce the strength and capability of our countrymen to face problems like raising the price of goods,
01:20 like amending the Rice Tarification Law to ensure that the price of rice is decreasing and we can give our countrymen a better life.
01:32 Let's not pay attention to the things that are not helping the lives of Filipinos and not helping our country.
01:41 Earlier, I was listening and watching the committee hearing in the Senate and again, we wasted taxpayers' money on something that does not exist.
01:55 So I see no reason for us to pay any attention whatsoever to the statement of this former Pideya agent Morales.
02:06 What is the true meaning of Morales' statement in the hearing, in your opinion, Congressman Suarez?
02:15 I think what he wants to do is to destroy the name of the person because the statements that he said cannot be corroborated.
02:26 There is no supporting document. The statements that he said seem to be his only statement.
02:33 He has no evidence to prove the truth.
02:38 So for me, the Senate should not give this opportunity because again, it was a waste of taxpayers' money.
02:45 Thank you very much for your time House Deputy Speaker J.J. Suarez. Good evening sir.
02:53 (upbeat music)
