00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're counting down the 30 All Time Hardest Bosses in Assassin's
00:14Creed.
00:20Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:24the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:28First Oroch, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
00:37The only alpha animal in the Siege of Paris DLC, you'll find this unassuming bull minding
00:42its own business in a pasture.
00:45Across the vents, and you'll be faced with a level 400 monster.
00:50At close range, it can gore and kick you, while it's also capable of charging very quickly
00:55if you try to keep your distance.
01:03What makes it more annoying, however, is that it breaks from the pen at one point and you
01:08have to chase it across the map.
01:10Luckily, there are plenty of mushrooms around to regain health, and if you're already near
01:15max level, you'll be able to tackle the bull with relative ease.
01:25The Blood Swine, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
01:36Another pig, this one is a little more like the infamous boar bosses from Odyssey, which
01:41we'll be getting to later.
01:43It's very frustrating, taking big chunks from your health bar if you slip up even once.
01:49It isn't one of the higher level alpha animals in Valhalla, but the arena can make things
01:54tricky since it's easy for the swine to run and hide in the long grass.
02:05Unless you're locked on and constantly attacking, you could lose it temporarily, giving it a
02:11chance to charge at you.
02:12Ensure it's always in your line of sight so that you don't fall victim to this cheap trick.
02:23Francois Thomas Germain, Assassin's Creed Unity.
02:34The boss battle itself against Germain isn't too hard, but it is frustrating because the
02:39different stages are spaced out in an unnecessarily long mission.
02:44You find Germain at the top of the temple for the first phase of the fight, where you
02:48sneak around the walls to strike when he isn't looking.
02:52But he then disappears and forces you to chase him halfway across Paris.
03:03The optional objectives to sabotage alarm bells and air assassinate guards make this
03:08even more frustrating if you're trying to complete them, and if you fail, you have to
03:13start from the beginning.
03:15This whole mission is hard largely because of these stringent additional requirements.
03:23Folk, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
03:35This is definitely one of the more satisfying fights, if only because Folk is a villain
03:41we'd love to hate.
03:42One of the most sadistic members of the Order, she's the one responsible for capturing Siegurd
03:48and cutting off his hand in order to awaken his memories as Tyr.
03:52Eivor hunts her down in Sussex where she cowers in a fortress.
04:02You eventually find her in the cellar, where she hides in the shadows and strikes when
04:07you're least expecting it.
04:09She also periodically destroys the light sources, adding another layer to this fight.
04:14Utilize Odin's sight to illuminate the area and keep her in your sights.
04:28Bear of the Blue Waters, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
04:37You'll have to journey all the way back to Norway to find this alpha animal, which you'll
04:42be doing anyway to finally end the main story of Valhalla.
04:46This unique polar bear is found alone on an ice float, and puts up a formidable fight.
04:52But if you're used to fighting the other bears in the game, it's not the most challenging
04:56battle out there because many of the attacks and animations are the same.
05:06It also has a habit of standing still during the fight and taking its time to attack, and
05:11has long lead-up animations to its swipes, making it very easy to dodge.
05:17But if you're underleveled, you will be destroyed.
05:29Katesh and Reshef, Assassin's Creed Origins.
05:38There are four camps across Origins' map where you'll find the War Elephants, this game's
05:43hidden optional bosses.
05:45All the elephants are formidable and can easily trample Bayek if he's not max level, designed
05:50to be beaten after you've finished the game and most of the side content.
05:55Because Katesh and Reshef are in the same camp though, they're much harder, and require
06:00even more strategy than firing arrows from range and staying away from their feet.
06:11Reshef will charge you repeatedly while Katesh keeps its distance, with the archer on top
06:17constantly shooting at you.
06:19Save your equipment and stock up on arrows, because you're definitely going to need them.
06:30Black Stout, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
06:39This alpha animal in Valhalla's other DLC, the Black Stout is much more intimidating
06:45than the Ghost Auroch.
06:46You can find it in the center of the map, in the aptly named Black Pig's Dyke in Kinect.
06:52Boars are always challenging in Assassin's Creed, and this one is no exception, with
06:57the biggest tusks of any beast we've felt in the series.
07:09It's an arduous battle and the Black Stout's attacks have a wider range than you'd expect,
07:14but going through it is all worthwhile because you get the Bone Sickle as a reward.
07:19Valhalla only has two Sickles, both found in Ireland, so if you want to dual wield Sickles,
07:25and who doesn't, this boss is a necessity.
07:36Tutankhamun, Assassin's Creed Origins.
07:45The hardest boss in Origins, Curse of the Pharaoh's DLC, Isadora eventually uses the
07:50Apple of Eden to conjure a demonic version of King Tut.
07:55While in real life, Tutankhamun died when he was only around 18 and had a plethora of
08:00health issues, in the game, he's a formidable foe.
08:04At level 52, he's extremely powerful and will destroy you if you're not appropriately
08:10leveled, which you should be if you've done everything Origins has to offer.
08:23But it's a fun and rewarding fight too, against such a legendary king wearing his recognizable
08:29funerary mask.
08:30He's also very fast and you'll need to dodge constantly, not easy in Origins where the
08:36dodge button isn't the most reliable.
08:45The Storm Fortress, Assassin's Creed Rogue.
08:55You'll find this legendary ship battle in one of the easiest areas of the map, but don't
09:01let that fool you.
09:02The Storm Fortress is absolutely not a pushover, and is considered by some to be the hardest
09:08legendary ship battle in the franchise, and certainly in Rogue.
09:13This beastly assassin ship is flanked by two others, the Scepter and the Argonaut, the
09:18crown jewels of the Assassin fleet.
09:29This is a mission so tough it can make you rage quit the game and abandon getting 100%
09:35completion.
09:36Make sure you've upgraded the Morrigan as much as possible, and stay behind the ship
09:41to avoid the cannons and mortars.
09:53The Daughters of Larion, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
10:04Found around central England, these three bosses take a long time to beat because of
10:08their escalating power levels.
10:10They can also be very challenging in the early game, even if you're the right level to take
10:16out the easiest one, Goneril, who is power level 90.
10:20You may have to work on developing a build and leveling up even further to take all three
10:25of them down.
10:26They all have fast attacks that can easily wipe out your health bar, teleporting around
10:31the arena.
10:39You have to learn their patterns, dodge constantly, and ensure you're not getting caught in a
10:45combo.
10:46Investing in abilities to heal on hit and getting maximum rations are necessary to win
10:51these fights and get Thor's armor.
11:00Giant Snake, Assassin's Creed Origins.
11:09Bayek takes part in a strange ritual in order to find his son's killers, which involves
11:14him hallucinating an intense battle with a giant snake.
11:19This snake is Apep, the ancient Egyptian embodiment of chaos, and Bayek takes the place of Ra,
11:26who does battle with Apep every night so that the sun will rise the next day.
11:31With just a mythical bow of light on your side, fighting this extraordinary snake is
11:36a daunting challenge.
11:38The snake is capable of disappearing from sight and dispatching poisonous ranged attacks,
11:43making it a truly nightmarish foe.
11:47Dodging and persevering are your only tactics for this fight.
11:50Just get hit and don't stop shooting.
11:58Goodwin, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
12:05One of King Alfred's Templar agents, Goodwin is a formidable knight.
12:10Though Assassin's Creed is today known for its fights against massive mythical monsters,
12:15the new combat systems can really shine when Eivor is pitted against someone else with
12:20a sword or shield, and what a shield Goodwin has.
12:24It's huge and will block a lot of your attacks, making it vital to learn his patterns and
12:29exploit the weak points in his legs.
12:31If you're underleveled, it's still possible to beat the fight by playing smartly, but
12:36it's going to take a long time because he has a huge power level of 340.
12:42Some people have made him look easy though, taking him down with no weapons or armor.
12:52Aramanthian Boar, Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
13:03Some of the animals in the long-running, far-reaching Goddess's Hunt quest are pushovers, and others
13:09will take you dozens of tries to beat.
13:13The Aramanthian Boar is one such fight.
13:15Like the first Caledonian Boar wasn't bad enough, the Aramanthian Boar steps things
13:20up a gear by dealing poison damage.
13:23The Boar in the legends needed Hercules to defeat it, who subdued it and carried it all
13:28the way to Argolis.
13:29One of the best methods players found for beating it is to earn a high bounty and trick
13:34the mercenaries into following you to its lair.
13:37Pay off the bounties just before you enter the fight, and they should aggro the Boar as well.
13:49Lucius Septimus, Assassin's Creed Origins.
13:59One of the most powerful members of the Order of the Ancients, it's Septimus who is pulling
14:04a lot of the political strings behind the scenes, enlisting Caesar and Cleopatra in
14:09his schemes.
14:10He's a worthy foe for the in-game final boss, fought by Aya rather than Vyek, and
14:16has a lot of complex moves and attack patterns to memorize.
14:19However, what makes the fight trickier is that Aya and Septimus will constantly taunt
14:25each other while they battle.
14:26While the dialogue is a nice touch that adds to the weight of the encounter, it's definitely
14:31distracting and can really throw you off, especially if you keep dying and have to hear
14:37it over and over again.
14:50Jack the Ripper, Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
15:00During Syndicate's Jack the Ripper DLC, Evie is called back to London after a long time
15:05away because her brother has become the chief suspect in the Whitechapel murders.
15:10It's down to her to prove Jacob's innocence and catch the real Ripper, who turns out to
15:15be a former Assassin recruit seeking to remake the Brotherhood in his own image.
15:20He's a difficult combatant, able to block and counter every single one of Evie's attacks.
15:26The only way to take him down is by repeatedly escaping and performing various stealth assassinations,
15:33which isn't easy given the small arena and his relentlessness.
15:37He'll also send lackeys after Evie and seems nigh unkillable.
15:41It was definitely a fight worthy of all the buildup.
15:55Sobek, Assassin's Creed Origins.
16:03The second deity fought in the Trials of the Gods, Sobek was always going to be tough.
16:09This giant humanoid crocodile is the ancient Egyptian god of the Nile, and it may have
16:14also once been believed that the pharaoh was Sobek in human form.
16:19Fittingly, you'll find Sobek in the swamps of the Herculon Gnome, the northernmost point
16:24of the Nile before it opens into the Mediterranean.
16:27He's definitely difficult and you'll need to be the highest level in the game to be
16:31within a shot of beating him, but his tactics are too similar to the previous god of the
16:36Trials event to be any more challenging.
16:39Simply put, Sobek doesn't have the element of surprise on his side.
16:50Loki, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
17:00During the Asgard sequence, Eivor, now playing the role of Odin, or Javi, has to go toe to
17:06toe with Loki, who's furious about the treatment of his son Fenrir.
17:11He's one of the most famous figures in the Norse pantheon, so you know they worked hard
17:16on this boss fight.
17:17It's just him and Odin in an icy arena, but it's made all the more complicated by his
17:23teleporting attack.
17:25It's the teleport alone that makes this tricky, because he can disappear and then attack from
17:30any angle.
17:31He's also very liberal with the teleport, using it non-stop to constantly get the drop
17:37on you.
17:38You can't let your guard down with this trickster at all, even when you think you have the upper
17:42hand.
17:48Belek, Assassin's Creed Unity.
17:56Pierre Belek was a master assassin who worked with Charles Dorian and took Arno under his
18:02wing after they met at the Bastille.
18:04Belek taught Arno everything he knew, making his betrayal halfway through Unity all the
18:09harder to deal with.
18:11It turns out Belek turned on the assassins to stop them from making peace with the Templars
18:15throughout the chaos of the French Revolution, but Arno's loyalty to the Brotherhood put
18:20them at odds.
18:21A dramatic fight at the top of the Saint-Chapelle ensued, leaving the player wrestling with
18:27killing their former mentor just like Arno.
18:30It's the trickiest fight in the game, and you'll need to have unlocked specific skills
18:34to beat him.
18:41Pucca, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
18:50While pursuing the Druids through Ireland in Valhalla's first DLC, Eivor will encounter
18:55a formidable beast called a Pucca.
18:57More familiar to you or I as a werewolf, the Pucca is a violent beast that attacks Eivor
19:02through a thick cloud of fog.
19:04It will also transform back into an ordinary world from time to time, forcing Eivor to
19:09pursue it around the large arena.
19:11When in its werewolf form, it's fast and deadly, and you'll need to be able to dodge and parry
19:16effectively to avoid getting staggered.
19:19The green fog also makes the fight much harder, significantly reducing visibility, and you'll
19:25be fighting numerous high-level enemies as well.
19:33Argus, Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
19:40The king of the Greek pantheon, Zeus is famous for wielding mighty bolts of lightning against
19:46all those who stand in his way.
19:48But Zeus didn't get his lightning from nowhere.
19:51The thunderbolts were actually made for him by the Cyclopses, and one in particular, Argus
19:57the Bright One.
19:58So it stands to reason that he'd be a pretty tough boss to beat when he was added to Odyssey
20:03post-launch.
20:05What makes Argus so much harder than the other Cyclopses is he deals a lot of fire damage,
20:10fighting the Mystios in an arena of lava while throwing firebombs.
20:15If he lands just one of those bombs, he'll probably have to start over.
20:27Caledonian Boar, Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
20:35Early on in the game, you'll meet Daphne and she'll give you the long Goddess's Hunt quest.
20:41You need to travel to Greece to defeat various legendary animals.
20:45The one nearest to Daphne, however, and therefore the one most players will fight first, is
20:50also arguably the hardest of all.
20:53The Caledonian Boar is a vicious beast, especially if you're fighting early on.
20:58You may not have unlocked the ability to heal during combat yet, and even when you've mastered
21:03its attack patterns, it's still able to take you down with one or two hits.
21:08It also summons various smaller boars during the fight, making it even harder.
21:18Basim, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
21:25Veteran players will have trusted Basim from the beginning because, after a five-year hiatus,
21:30we finally had a true assassin in these games again.
21:34However, trusting Basim is absolutely the wrong thing to do.
21:38He has his own machinations and is manipulating Sigurd from the beginning, forcing Eivor to
21:44fight him.
21:45He makes use of all the assassin tricks players will be familiar with, including smoke bombs,
21:50and you'll also have to do some complex platforming as you chase him through an Isu vault.
21:55He even catches Eivor with the hidden blade, and can only be defeated by Eivor and Sigurd
22:00working together.
22:06The Minotaur, Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
22:15The unholy offspring of a sacred bull and the Queen, the Minotaur was so dangerous and
22:21shameful that an elaborate labyrinth was constructed to hold it.
22:25This legendary monster is one of the Isu remnants you have to hunt down while navigating
22:30the labyrinth found deep underneath Nossus Palace.
22:34The Minotaur is one of the most unique and exciting bosses in the game, posing a challenging
22:39fight in a small arena where it can be difficult to dodge or use ranged attacks.
22:44You need to stay up close with the monster, parrying and blocking his attacks to take
22:49him down.
22:54Anubis, Assassin's Creed Origins.
23:00The Trials of the Gods quest started with a bang by having Bayek immediately face down
23:05with the Egyptian god of the dead, the jackal-headed Anubis.
23:10Located in the Great Sand Sea, as you get close Anubis will rise out of the desert to
23:14meet you.
23:15As the first giant humanoid god you fight in Origins, Anubis is easily the best and
23:21most difficult, employing tactics and moves not yet seen in the game.
23:26He'll send undead minions to fight you, monstrous canids and deal nasty area of effect attacks.
23:33Keep moving and don't lose sight of the enemies crowding you or you can be quickly overwhelmed.
23:44The Builder, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
23:52When you first encounter the Builder, he's not exactly formidable, but eventually Norse
23:56magic begins to take hold and the Builder reveals his trick, becoming a gigantic blue
24:02warrior hellbent on taking down Odin.
24:05His hammer has a lot of ranged attacks and a very large swing, but if you stay too close
24:11he's going to do an area of effect attack to knock you away.
24:14And that's just the first phase.
24:16He'll then do a power-up and the fight gets even harder, especially if you entered Asgard
24:22a little early and you're underleveled.
24:25Make sure you go in with plenty of arrows to make those all-important headshots.
24:35Al Mualim, Assassin's Creed.
24:43The first game introduced us to the primary lore and gameplay that all subsequent games
24:48would be based on, specifically that you'll be routinely assassinating targets and hunting
24:53down legendary artifacts.
24:55But the very first final boss in the series is difficult because it catches you completely
25:00off guard after a game of insta-kill counters and one-hit assassinations.
25:06Al Mualim betrays the Brotherhood to wield the Apple of Eden's almighty power himself
25:11and so Altair is pitted against a super-powered villain with powers you've never seen before.
25:17He clones himself, teleports around the battlefield, and sends your own brothers to fight against
25:22you.
25:29Balor, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
25:36Also in the Wrath of the Druids DLC, Balor is an optional boss you could potentially
25:41miss.
25:42He's also one of the best and hardest bosses in the game, as well as one of the more visually
25:47interesting characters Ivor comes to blows with.
25:50Boasting a great sword with massive range and leaping attacks that mean he's never too
25:55far away, mastering the dodge timings is absolutely imperative for defeating him.
26:01The fight takes place in a simple arena with just a few stone pillars for cover, leaving
26:06you nowhere to hide.
26:07The second phase grants him more attacks, more damage, and the ability to shoot a giant
26:13laser from his head.
26:21El Umpluto, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.
26:31Chaotic naval combat returned with a vengeance in Black Flag, as players took the role of
26:36pirate Edward Kenway.
26:38But as part of his long journey from the destitute privateer to a master assassin, you could
26:43choose to hunt down five legendary ships, which stalk the waters of the Caribbean and
26:49attack anyone who draws too near.
26:52The nastiest of all is El Umpluto, a Spanish warship that's bigger, faster, and more damaging
26:58than all the other legendaries combined, and it also happens to be the only man o' war
27:03with a ram.
27:04You definitely don't want to run into this ship unprepared or underleveled, or you won't
27:10get out alive.
27:17Fenrir, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
27:26You already fought the father, now it's time for the son.
27:29Fenrir will be very familiar to fans of Norse mythology because he's prophesied to kill
27:34Odin, who, of course, is Eivor.
27:37Eivor, along with Tyr, go on a mission to bind Fenrir to protect the other members of
27:43the Norse pantheon.
27:44Fenrir doesn't take kindly to this, and bites off Tyr's hand, just like in the legend, before
27:50he and Javi do battle.
27:52It can be tricky to land a solid hit on Fenrir because of his height and agility, not to
27:57mention his ability to tunnel around underneath the arena.
28:01The orange lightning doesn't make the battle any easier, and it only ends once you finally
28:06bind the beast.
28:14Medusa, Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
28:23The last and most frightening Isu remnant you'll encounter on your Odyssey, Medusa definitely
28:30didn't disappoint.
28:31Found hidden deep within a petrified forest on the island of Lesbos, you won't stand a
28:36chance unless you have all the overpower abilities unlocked and maxed.
28:42You'll also need to make sure your weapons are the most powerful ones you can get your
28:45hands on, upgraded to meet your level.
28:48You've got to hide from her sight while fighting off legions of petrified soldiers she sends
28:53your way, and only then does she become vulnerable to damage.
28:58But barely.
28:59She constantly teleports out of reach, capable of powerful ranged and melee attacks.
29:05It's a long, arduous fight where one wrong move can spell doom.
29:16Let us know in the comments which Assassin's Creed boss was the most fun to take down.
29:30Thanks for watching.
29:31If you enjoyed the video, there's more where that came from.
