00:25sharing that the couple got stopped at customs
00:28with their three-month-old daughter, River.
00:30The couple say an officer prohibited them
00:32from entering the country
00:34because a page was torn out of Natalie's passport.

00:41We went to Toronto, didn't have an issue.
00:43Like, I've used this passport.
00:44I have never had an issue.
00:46I have no idea what's wrong.
00:47And this was really, I feel like, a moment
00:51where Nick and I got to not only,
00:55I mean, we had River in our arms.
00:57We had to hold it together for our daughter.
00:59But also, it really challenged us as husband and wife.
01:03And it was the first thing we had to conquer
01:06as husband and wife.
01:07After Natalie was turned away,
01:09the two say their vows were put to the test
01:11pretty quickly with the ordeal
01:13as the family was forced to wait six hours
01:15for another flight back to the US.
01:18So after six hours, our flight is canceled.
01:21Because there was a maintenance issue.
01:24And then after, it had a tire issue.
01:26And then once they got it fixed,
01:29of course, the pilot timed out.
01:31And in that moment, like, we're fine.
01:33We're grateful.
01:34We're here with you guys.
01:35We get to tell the story.
01:36But in this moment, it felt like a nightmare.
01:38Once that flight was canceled,
01:40the country made an exception for Natalie, Nick, and River
01:43to stay in a hotel for one night.
01:45The newlyweds say the ordeal
01:47put things into perspective for them.
01:49And yes, they are planning a redo
01:51on their post-wedding vacation.
01:53First, it's a little scary, you know?
01:55It's a little scary to be in this, like, foreign country.
01:59But at the same time,
02:00it just puts everything into perspective.
02:02Because you're just like, you know,
02:03at the end of the day,
02:04we have to take care of our daughter.
02:07We have to take care of each other.
02:09And as much as it, like, sucked, you know,
02:11it was our first moment of, like, being a family
02:15and facing adversity together.
