00:00We would like to see your This Is Us co-stars drop by the show.
00:02Yeah, me too.
00:03Have we talked to anyone?
00:05We have.
00:06Mandy's such America's sweetheart.
00:07I want to see her play somebody bad, like ruthless, like cutthroat.
00:11Wouldn't that be great?
00:12Yeah, that'd be great.
00:13I'm sure she wants to do that too.
00:14I bet she would.
00:15I just want to help in any way I can.
00:16Okay, so when Tracker first premiered last season, it ended up being the first new series
00:22to be number one in over 20 years since Survivor.
00:25So I know you love the show.
00:26I know you believed in the show.
00:28But when you go back and reflect, are you amazed at how well this show did so quickly?
00:33I think, yeah.
00:35And I still am.
00:36I still am.
00:37I pinch myself every day.
00:38You know, you put yourself out there, and this is the first thing that I've ever attached
00:42myself to that I sort of created from inception.
00:46You did, yeah.
00:47It's your baby.
00:48Yeah, typically I show up and I'm acting on a show, which is wonderful, but this one we
00:52built together.
00:53My friend and I kind of went and built this together.
00:56And we had this idea, and I thought, you know, I feel like there's a yearning for this kind
01:01of television.
01:02I feel like there's an audience.
01:03People want this.
01:04For sure.
01:05There's an appetite for it.
01:06And we were right, I guess.
01:07And it's just, it's always great when you see something that you want to do, and then
01:13other people go, oh, that's really good.
01:15And they agree with you.
01:16It's kind of nice.
01:17But to answer your question, I'm always amazed and always humbled by the fact that busy people
01:22tune in for an hour out of their busy lives to watch us.
01:25Hang on.
01:26Compelling storylines, Justin Hartley searching for people who are lost, family drama, sexual
01:32tension, and of course, all of this right here are just a few reasons more than 15 million
01:38watch Tracker, the CBS Sunday night drama, is broadcast TV's number one show.
01:45Did being on another juggernaut like This Is Us kind of help you have your sea legs
01:49early for how to navigate something like this?
01:52I think so.
01:53Yeah.
01:54And you know what's really cool about it?
01:55I've been able to actually share that experience with the crew.
01:58And I will tell them, I will say, stop for a second.
02:01This is rare air.
02:02This doesn't happen.
02:03Your brother hired me to find you.
02:04We need to go.
02:05What are some of the perks in starring in like a top TV series?
02:09Oh, God.
02:10Well, I get to talk to find people like you.
02:13I get to come here and spend time with you.
02:14Good answer, Justin.
02:15Yeah.
02:16Yeah.
02:17And, you know, one of the great things I think is walking around and having people come up
02:24to me and say, you know, I watch the show with my wife or my kids or we watch it as
02:28a family.
02:29You don't get a lot of time to do things as a family nowadays.
02:32Everyone's so busy.
02:33And to sit down and go, yeah, we all get we all sit together.
02:35We watch it.
02:36So we all enjoy it.
02:37And we talk about it.
02:38That is I mean, that's all I need.
02:40It's amazing.
02:41I'm not sure if you saw this, but your former YNR dad, Eric Braden, just recently really
02:46praised you and the show.
02:49And he said he compared you to John Wayne or Jimmy Stewart.
02:53Oh, well, when you hear that from him.
02:57Yeah.
02:58Well, look, that's that's the key, right?
03:00When you hear it from him.
03:01Yeah.
03:02He doesn't that man does not mince words.
03:03He's not afraid to say what's on his mind.
03:04He's a very, very calculated individual, very smart man.
03:09And to say things like that, he's not saying it.
03:12It's well, I mean, there's no one who's had swag on
03:17television longer than him.
03:18So he knows what he sees.
03:20Yeah.
03:21Yeah.
03:22No.
03:23He and I, we became pretty close on the show.
03:26And and he's he's a remarkable, remarkable, talented, remarkable man.
03:31And and to hear him say something like that is, you know, that's that's just.
03:36You're being humble because he said John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart.
03:39Those are big compares.
03:40Those are big shoes.
03:41Yeah.
03:42I.
03:43Yeah, that's crazy.
03:44Yeah.
03:45Yeah.
03:46But but thank you, Eric.
03:47That's crazy.
03:48I know what he means.
03:49He means he likes to show it.
03:50It's fine.
03:51Yeah.
03:52He said it with his chest.
03:53He did not just say he could have just said, I like the show.
03:55What he was saying was, you're right.
03:56I believe that Justin is a rare talent.
03:59You know, that generational type of talent.
04:01Well, that's a nice thing to say.
04:02That's a nice thing.
04:03So we'll try to try to, you know, try to measure up.
04:06He's got you, Victor.
04:07You know, we previously talked about the fact that we would like to see or this is
04:15us.
04:16Co-stars drop by the show.
04:17Yeah.
04:18Me, too.
04:19Where are we at?
04:20Who do you want me to come up with like a storyline?
04:23What can we do?
04:24You could have we talked to anyone we have.
04:27So we interestingly enough, John Huertas, who played Miguel on We Love We Love John
04:32played Miguel on This Is Us is actually directing the episode that we're filming right now.
04:37But as far as having, I would love to have, oh, gosh, it would just have to be the right
04:42part because, you know, you want to write something that is brilliant.
04:45That you present them with and they have to do it.
04:49But I also, you know, I would prefer to have them all on at once.
04:52But then it looks like it.
04:53Yeah.
04:54But that pulls that would pull you out of the show, I think.
04:56And you would just be watching This Is Us, which I'm not.
04:58I'm not.
04:59I don't want that.
05:00Right.
05:01But but we'll have to find out.
05:02Look, I mean, and they can all do so many different things.
05:04You have Chris Sullivan, Mandy Moore, Sterling, Milo, Chrissy.
05:07They can all do so many different things that, you know, it just has to be the right.
05:11Mandy's South America's sweetheart.
05:12I want to see her play somebody bad.
05:15Wouldn't that be great?
05:16Putthroat.
05:17Yeah, that'd be great.
05:18I'm sure she wants to do that, too.
05:19I bet she would.
05:20I'm sure.
05:21She would crush it.
05:22So you've seen stuff.
05:23Oh, brother.
05:24Stuff I've seen?
05:25Blow your hair back.
05:26So Jensen, we know Jensen is like your brother from another mother, you know, and he plays
05:30your television brother on this show.
05:32And he struck up a little bit of a flirtation with your former TV girlfriend, Fiona.
05:37Right.
05:38Right.
05:39OK.
05:40Do you have any chance of like a future romance between those two?
05:44Or...
05:45Maybe.
05:46You know, we have a we have a storyline going on right now that I think is really cool for
05:49the Renie character.
05:50So what is happening in Vancouver?
05:52Because Jensen isn't the only like former Supernatural star that's shooting a CBS show
05:58in Vancouver.
05:59I think Jared Padalecki and he's shooting Fire Country.
06:01He has an arc there.
06:02Do you ever envision a crossover between these shows, like with Supernatural as the core?
06:09I don't know.
06:11You know, I'm open to anything.
06:12It would just have to make sense, you know, if it was something that was that was a really
06:17compelling story.
06:18I, you know, certainly.
06:19We've talked a little bit about your daughter, Isabella, who's 20 now and in college.
06:24Do you ever whisper in her ear like you're a creative or don't ever do this business?
06:29Like what do you hope she pursues?
06:31Yeah.
06:32You know, honestly, I've been so lucky.
06:34She I don't know where she got all this because I certainly was not this kind of student,
06:39but she gets straight A's.
06:40She's a magnificent student.
06:42She's a great lady and a pleasure to be around and and whatever she wants to do, honestly.
06:49Is she a creative?
06:51She is.
06:52Massively.
06:53And I think whatever her heart desires.
06:54I think that's what she should go after.
06:55I really do.
06:56Has she ever said to you like, maybe dad?
06:57She changes her mind a lot.
06:58OK, got it.
06:59Well, she's 20.
07:00Exactly.
07:01So I'm like, whatever she wants to do today, she should do it.
07:02Whatever she wants to do tomorrow.
07:03I think that's what she should do for now.
07:05You know, that's how you figure it out.
07:06Yeah.
07:07She's at that age.
07:09And now she's got a new baby girl.
07:10What does she smell like?
07:12Look.
07:13Smell her head.
07:14What does she smell like?
07:15She smells like honey.
07:16Smells like honey.
07:20She's got her own big three now, right?
07:22Yeah.
07:23Which is kind of cool.
07:24Is there advice, though, in like raising a little girl?
07:27Hmm.
07:28Gosh.
07:29You know, it's it's life advice for everything.
07:32I guess patience.
07:33Yeah.
07:34Is that what she taught you?
07:35Is that what your daughter taught you?
07:36Yeah.
07:37Well, for me, and just speaking for myself, I tended to be a little bit, you know, I worry
07:41about her.
07:42I still do.
07:43Yeah.
07:44And you really do have to.
07:45And it's the hardest thing in the world to do as a dad, especially, I think, to a little
07:48girl.
07:49They look so fragile and they're like little girls, but they're women.
07:53They're little women is what they are.
07:54Yeah.
07:55And they're little powerhouses.
07:56And you just you really have to let go sometimes.
07:58And you start to realize when you do that, that whatever they're doing is way better
08:02than any advice you probably could have given them.
08:04Yeah.
08:05And you just you're just in awe when you watch it.
08:07What's the thing that she did like throughout life and maybe even still does today that
08:12just makes you melt?
08:14That just like.
08:15My daughter, Isabella?
08:17Yeah.
08:18Oh, I'll get I mean, I'll get texts out of nowhere that just I love you or or thank you
08:24for.
08:25You're going to make me cry.
08:27Thank you for, you know, whatever it might be from three days ago.
08:29Just how was your day?
08:31Are you working right now?
08:32I bet you're tired.
08:33I'm thinking about you.
08:35It's just incredible.
08:36She's so thoughtful.
08:37And you just like, she wraps you up all over the things, gets whatever she wants.
08:41And then I wait for the next text, which is like, she probably needs something.
08:45You know, it's a leader.
08:46Why do we always do that?
08:47Why do we always do that?
08:48And I was like, oh, she's so sweet.
08:50And I just wait, wait.
08:51And it's like, ding.
08:52I'm like, there it is.
08:53She needs.
08:54No, I'm kidding.
