00:00 This culture has been strong in recent years,
00:05 for other spaces in society,
00:08 but I think it's important to remember that its origin comes from the periphery.
00:12 I think it came to stay, you know? It came very strong.
00:15 So much so that the brands of the highest bars
00:19 nowadays make collections focused on this style,
00:23 of the football shirt being used as a piece of fashion.

00:33 Team shirts are the new favorites in the fashion world.
00:37 The style nicknamed "Block Corp" by Generation Z
00:40 consists of creating a look that mixes the official football team shirts
00:45 with elements of street fashion.
00:47 But the aesthetics can also appear linked to more aligned elements of Alpha and Atari.
00:52 The term comes from a free translation that unites "block",
00:56 a British English slang, very similar to our "man",
01:00 the expression "corp", used in the fashion market to indicate expressive trends.
01:05 I always say that fashion is an expression of what you are.
01:08 Fashion is not a trend.
01:11 Fashion is you, sometimes using a trend, but using your own way.
01:15 And when you, like me, are in love with football,
01:19 that's part of you.
01:21 You want to express that by going out with your shirt.
01:24 Fashion represents you.
01:26 [Music]
01:30 The style became popular in Europe and gained space even in fashion weeks
01:35 and conquers more and more fans.
01:38 But the relationship between fashion and sports, especially football, is not so new.
01:43 This relationship emerged at the beginning of the 20th century with Coco Chanel and the Twitch fabric.
01:49 The list opens the way for other major brands to join sports.
01:54 And how not to remember the iconic partnership between Michael Jordan and Nike in the early 70s
02:00 and which is successful to this day.
02:02 In the 2000s, influenced by pop celebrities, especially hip-hop,
02:07 the Blockcore gained strength and showed its potential as a product
02:11 and source of influence in various parts of the world.
02:14 Obviously, for us, who are football fans, we know the weight of, for example,
02:19 a Arsenal shirt or a Henry.
02:21 We know the story behind it.
02:23 But I don't think that if a person doesn't understand the story behind that shirt,
02:27 he is devaluing it.
02:29 I think it's contributing to football having more and more visibility.
02:35 But do you wear a team shirt on a daily basis?
02:38 Tell me what you think about the trend.
