00:00When I was reading the YouTube comments on the trailer all of the top comments
00:04were about you playing JFK in this movie how did this role come about for you?
00:10This guy here he just asked me to do it it was one day I just came down they
00:15put me in a suit threw a wig on my head and I did it I did watch a couple of the
00:19the press conferences and stuff to try to get some of his mannerism so I
00:23wouldn't be doing too tired of an impression I mean it's kind of funny the
00:29impression people do of him he doesn't really even sound like that so that's
00:32something that I noticed but uh I'm glad you know anytime I do something and
00:36people like it I'm happy I feel like I got away with something when you first
00:40saw yourself in the wig what was your reaction I mean I don't I think I was
00:48too busy making sure I knew what I was gonna do to really sort of take it in it
00:54was just more like just doing a guy I like to do a couple of takes and then I
00:58feel all right I didn't get fired nobody's yelling at me okay I can have
01:01fun with this you know what was Jerry like as a director he was great he was
01:07great as a comedian you know he all the fats trimmed off of it right to the
01:11funny knew what he wanted let me improv if he liked it we kept it if not he's to
01:18be like you know don't do that go more in this direction very very quick too
01:23it was awesome I mean I literally right over there and Gower went over there
01:28pulled in the Sun was still out when I left it was awesome
01:33quick and painless yeah oh it's tremendous Jerry recently said in an
01:37interview that he feels like stand-up comedy is really having a surge right
01:42now and it's an enduring medium because it's something that you can't fake
01:45what's your take on that it's something you can't what something you can't fake
01:50well I think it's kind of working in these times because people just devour
01:57content and we can only do a joke once you don't want to hear it again so it's
02:03sort of it sort of forces us to kind of work at the pace people are watching
02:08stuff you know for better for worse but everything can be faked up trying to
02:14keep up with that pace does that make it more difficult do you feel like it's
02:17more challenging right now to be in comedy that is an internal battle so if
02:22you if you put that on yourself I think it would be but I was very lucky when I
02:28started I started back before all this craziness so and then I've been able to
02:35benefit off of the internet and all of that stuff but you know I'm really happy
02:40for the the younger comics that they can they can sort of decide what they want
02:46to put out and not put out so that that aspect of it is good but I'm kind of
02:50glad the internet wasn't around because I I don't think I would want people to
02:54see anything I did in the first eight years it's pretty bad pretty bad are
02:58there any young comics new comics right now that you think are really funny
03:02it's always people always ask me this and then I all right well Steph Tolive
03:09Bianca Cristobal, Nate Craig, Paul Verzi, Joe Bartnick they said not like these
03:16aren't really those last guys you know they're there they've been doing it but
03:20they're ready you know what I mean so I know Fahim Anwar I'm so bad at this I
03:27always have like a bunch of I gotta start making a list so I get everybody
03:31Robert Powell the third right I just did a gig with that guy oh my god oh my god
03:37amazing I know when I walk away I'm going to think of a bunch of other
03:42people but that was a good list you listed a lot of people okay all right it
03:49was so it was so great talking to you thank you so much
