00:00 It was pretty cool. Honestly, it was kind of a long walk. I think almost three miles, but it was nice. The weather was a little cool, but...
00:09 It was great walking around, you know, with my teammates, you know, for a great cause, you know, with the Heart Association.
00:18 So, you know, it was a great day being out here walking around the lake, you know, beautiful scenery. The heritage is great.
00:24 Well, being a Husky graduate, 1976, and also receiving my heart transplant at the University of Washington Medical Center in 2008, I tell everybody I bleed purple.
00:37 And so I was thrilled to come and walk with the Husky football team. They were supporting the American Heart Association as we did a community outreach to encourage people to get enough physical exercise.
00:51 We walked around Green Lake. We had nice conversations. Unfortunately, only one out of five adults get enough physical exercise to maintain their health.
01:02 And, you know, what the American Heart Association is all about is healthier lives. And unfortunately, heart disease is still the number one killer in the United States, and stroke is the number five.
01:16 So we do everything we can to educate the public, things like teaching CPR all the way down into high schools, to a lot of research.
01:26 And the University of Washington is a world leader in research, as most people in this area know.
01:32 We're responsible for things like creating CPR, creating pacemakers, all kinds of things having to do with people's health.
01:41 And, of course, we're also advocating for equal access to health for everybody because everyone deserves to live a healthy and long life.
