00:00 Ali Berzatu Badrul Hisham Shaharin or Mr. Gubard was charged with two charges of slander,

00:07 crime and incitement in today's court session.

00:10 Badrul, 45, who is represented by Rafiq Rashid Ali, is a lawyer, admitted to being innocent

00:16 after the charges were read against Judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.

00:20 According to the charges, the accused is charged with issuing a slander statement

00:24 and he has reason to believe that it will damage the reputation of the great governor.

00:30 The charge was made in the State Court at 6pm on 22 January,

00:35 according to Section 500 of the Penal Code,

00:38 which brings the prisoner to two years in prison or both if the charge is proved.

00:45 Mr. Gubard was also charged with incitement in Taman Bukit Ceras at 12.15pm on 6 April.

00:53 The charge was made according to Section 401(c) of the 1948 Constitution,

00:59 which can be judged under Section 401(a) which stipulates a fine of no more than RM5,000

01:06 or maximum imprisonment for three years or both.

01:10 A bail of RM10,000 is set for each charge.

01:14 Recently, during a media broadcast, Rafiq advised his son, Mr. Gubard,

01:18 to make a statement tomorrow at the Juhur Court on his record

01:22 in connection with the press release of the case of the casino opening in Forest City, Juhur.
