02:53There is no big or small countries.
02:56There is no domain to one another.
03:01We are all the same.
03:03We are brothers and sisters.
03:04We are the same.
03:05And in that sense, we can develop new morals for the development of the trades and inventions
03:13in the economy, a new moral and practical applications and successful results.

03:59For his part, Bolivia's President Luis Saracen referred to the context in which the summit
04:03was being held and described it as being characterized by global challenges in the middle of the
04:08crisis of world capitalism.
04:11We are held in the middle in a crucial point of history marked by global challenges, unprecedented
04:20global challenges and with serious threats to the world peace.
04:24The world is facing the political uncertainty in the highest levels by the persistent negative
04:31effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, by the consequences of the multilateral crisis of capitalism.

04:51The head of state also sent a strong message of unity and commitment not to give up nor
04:56surrender.
04:57We're saying to the imperialists of the land that here no one is going to give up.
05:09No one is going to sell themselves or surrender.
05:14We will continue fighting for peace and for unity of the people of Latin America and the
05:21Caribbean and for the world.
05:26For his part, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Brown, declared that his
05:31country is proud to be part of this organization, which plays a fundamental role in the development

05:37Antigua and Barbuda is proud of being a member of this organization and with the belief that
05:45with ALBA it is useful for the hemisphere and it's going to get our people from poverty

06:01I take this opportunity to invite you, all of you, most of all to the heads of state

06:23We will take the leadership to help this island state to achieve the goals of sustainable
06:30development.
06:32Finally, the Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerritz, also stressed that the organization
06:38remains strong 20 years later and that it has been 20 years of solidarity and commitment
06:44among the member nations.
06:45Our time in history never, Latin America and the Caribbean became so close and had so much
06:53solidarity as we have now.
06:56We are making a tribute and a homage to Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez in these 20 years of
07:03ALBA.
07:07A lot of you say that ALBA wouldn't last two years, but here we are, 20 years of solidarity,
07:1820 years of strength, 20 years of complementary among all of us Caribbean nations.
07:29The main thing about ALBA is that it is speaking to the center, to the most important of the
07:37human survival, from the humankind challenges and it has formulated solutions to these challenges.
07:47There is no other organization in the world that in such a short time had achieved so
07:55much for so many countries and for so many people.
08:03Now let's take a short break, but remember you can join us on Tik Tok at TELUS for English
08:07where you will find news in different formats, news updates and much more.
08:12Other stories coming up.
08:13Stay with us.
08:25Welcome back from the South.
08:35On Thursday, former Prime Minister of Haiti Ariel Henry shared his resignation letter
08:40through official social network accounts.
08:43The official statement dated on April 24th and directed at the Council of Ministers stated
08:48that Henry hereby tendered his resignation from his government, noting the state of affairs.
08:56After congratulating the members of the government on the job done, he continued,
09:00We have served the nation in difficult times.
09:04I thank all those who have had the courage to face such challenges with me.
09:08I sympathize with the losses and suffering endured by our compatriots during this period.
09:15The office of the outgoing Prime Minister announced on Wednesday that the Presidential
09:19Transitional Council would be installed on Thursday.
09:23The Panamanian electoral process has left hours of great tension in the first day of
09:30the advance voting.
09:31A series of serious denunciations paralyzed the process that hours later was reactivated.
09:37The plenary of the electoral tribunal informed that after a consultation with the National
09:42Council of Political Parties, they decided to continue with the process.
09:46Previously, they had communicated the suspension because on Tuesday morning, they detected
09:51that in the presidential ballot of advance voting in the Internet, some candidates appeared
09:57in different order than in the physical ballot.
10:00The electoral entity confirmed that the votes cast are maintained and that the process is
10:05resumed.
10:06However, several candidates reiterate their concerns.
10:13From the first moment we have denounced it, an electoral tribunal that is not prepared
10:18to carry out a transparent process.
10:22The irregularities have been from the very first moment.
10:26What has happened today is evidence of what we have been denouncing.
10:31An early election process that had to be interrupted because they were not able to ensure transparency,
10:37accountability with the vote that was cast.
10:40The ballots were not there, the ones that should have been deposited.
10:46What is the guarantee that the Panamanian have?
10:50On Wednesday, the Peruvian Public Prosecutor's Office extended the preliminary investigation
10:54into President Dina Boluarte for the case of the luxury watches she exhibited in several
11:00locations, adding the possible commission of a bribery crime.
11:03In this regard, the statement said that the prosecution has not yet determined whether
11:08In this regard, the statement said that the preliminary investigations on the President
11:12are being extended for alleged commission of the crime of improper passive bribery.
11:17In this sense, the entity also detailed that the investigations have been extended to include
11:22the regional governor of Ayacucho, Wilfredo Oscorima, who is sure to have lent two Rolex
11:28watches to the President, along with other jewelry valued in thousands of dollars.
11:38We now move on to other topics.
11:57On Thursday, the Israeli occupation army continued its attacks against the Palestinian population
12:02on the Gaza Strip, as local media reported that 79 people were killed and other 86 were
12:07injured.
12:08Wafa News Agency reported that Israeli airplanes attacked a house belonging to the al-Jamal
12:13family east of Rafah, killing five people and leaving several wounded, most of whom
12:18were children and women.
12:20In another bombing in the same locality, one civilian was killed and several were injured.
12:25Attacks were also registered in several sites in Deir el-Balah, Gaza City and Jebelia.
12:30Since the beginning of the Israeli siege on Gaza last October 7th, a total of 34,262
12:37Gazans have been killed and more than 77,000 Palestinians were wounded.
12:44We continue in Palestine, as mass graves found in two Gaza hospitals have shocked the world
12:52and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
12:55Gazan authorities confirmed that several of the bodies found at the grave at the Al-Nasr
13:00Hospital in Khan Younis were hand-tied.
13:03The nearly 300 bodies found showed signs of execution.
13:07On the other hand, in the Al-Shifa Hospital, a mass grave with numerous bodies was also
13:12found at the beginning of April.
13:14UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Balko Turk, said he was horrified by the reports
13:19coming from the two hospitals.
13:25And after over 200 days of continuous Israeli genocidal war in Gaza, the destruction of
13:31medical centers and civil infrastructure of all types is now a commonplace in the area.
13:36One example is the devastation of the Al-Shifa Hospital.
13:40What remains now of what was once Gaza's largest medical center is a pile of rubble,
13:45which its former medical staff see with horrifying eyes.
13:50The Al-Shifa Hospital was developed as Gaza's central health center.
13:54Originally, an internal medicine department was set up, followed by one section for surgery.
14:00Later on new buildings were added for pediatrics and ophthalmology.
14:04Al-Shifa means healing in Arabic.
14:09While touring around the former emergency area, the head of the Medical Rehabilitation
14:13Committee, Dr. Marwan Abu Sada, recalls what the health institution was like just before the war.
14:22This facility was the largest and most comprehensive hospital in Palestine, featuring 750 beds,
14:2932 intensive care units, and 26 operating rooms.
14:34Previously, it served a quarter of a million patients and visitors.
14:39We are now standing in what remains of its emergency department, which was noted for its large capacity.
14:47Meanwhile, Amjad Ayawah, an emergency doctor in Gaza, tells us about his experience since
14:52the beginning of the siege and calls on the international community to help stop the war
14:57and to increase its shipment of medical supplies to the Gazan hospitals.
15:03This location has been our initial home.
15:05Since the war began, we haven't left it for even a moment.
15:09I was here from the start of December through January, during which it accommodated thousands of casualties.
15:15It was deeply saddening to experience this.
15:20We urge international organizations and the global community to urgently halt the war
15:24and supply field hospitals to manage the daily influx of injuries treated at under-equipped facilities.
15:30Yet the number of casualties is overwhelming, and we lack sufficient operating theatres to address them.
15:37Nor do we have specialized facilities for patients with kidney and heart conditions.
15:43The health system in Gaza is severely deficient, and immediate, swift intervention is crucial.
15:50The Israeli occupation forces bombarded the al-Shifa hospital and held its staff hostage
15:55under the pretense that the place served as a hiding place for Hamas fighters.
16:00This idea was discarded later on.
16:03Meanwhile, the recent discovery of mass graves in the facility, with hand-tied bodies,
16:08is an indisputable evidence of the fallacy of the Israeli justification and of the true nature
16:14and aim of its attacks against the Palestinian people.
16:18This is definitely not viable because it has a huge hole in the back.

17:11in the Indo-Pacific region by seeking to include Japan in the AUKUS alliance.
17:16According to analyst Kang Kyung-jong from the state agency KCNA,
17:21Washington is intensifying its plan to expand and strengthen military blocs in the Asia-Pacific region.
17:27In turn, he pointed out that at the recent AUKUS Defense Minister Summit,
17:32comprising the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia,
17:35Japan's preferential participation was formalized.
17:39In this regard, he denounced that the U.S. government is seeking to put Japan
17:43at the forefront of the anti-China pressure,
17:46and pushed for a nuclear minefield in the Indo-Pacific region near the Asian giant.
17:56What is known as AUKUS is a strategic military alliance among Australia,
18:01the United Kingdom, and the United States.
18:03This military bloc was publicly announced on September 15, 2021,
18:08and the pact among the members includes cooperation in cyber capabilities,
18:13artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and additional submarine capabilities.
18:18AUKUS supplies Australia with new long-range strike capabilities for its Air Force, Navy, and Army.
18:25In turn, critics have pointed out that the alliance is designed
18:28to counter China's influence in the Indo-Pacific region.
18:38In other news, in Western Australia,
18:40between 50 and 100 pilot whales are stranded on a remote beach in Dunsborough.
18:45The Parks and Wildfire Services said on Thursday that dozens of pilot whales
18:50are stranded near a sandy shore and in shallow water.
18:54The area is known as Toby's Inlet, more than 250 kilometers south of the city of Perth.
19:01In this regard, the agency said that it had deployed its teams of officials,
19:06experts, and veterinarians in response to the mass stranding
19:10to try to keep the marine mammals alive and get them back to the sea.
19:18On Wednesday, in Mauritania, a human rights activist announced
19:21he will stand as candidate in the presidential elections.
19:25In this sense, Biram Oldudab Olduabed, a Mauritanian human rights activist
19:30and a physician figure runner-up in the last presidential elections,
19:34announced his candidacy for June 29 elections.
19:38In the meantime, Olduabed, whose political group is not authorized
19:42and has no legal existence, expressed its concern about the functioning of the electoral process,
19:48alleging that it is aware of the imperfection of the electoral registry
19:53and the partiality and inadequacy of the independent National Electoral Commission.
20:04In turn, Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Ghassouani on Wednesday
20:08also stated he would run for a second term as president.
20:12Precisely in this context, he defended that his government provided stability
20:16in the Sahel region, which faces rising jihadism.
20:20In this nation, polls indicated that Ghassouani, the current chairman of the African Union,
20:26is the clear favorite to win.
20:28It is worth noting that in 2023, his party won the legislative elections,
20:32taking 107 of the 176 seats in the National Assembly.
20:37The first round of general elections will take place on June 29,
20:41with a possible second round on July 14.
20:51We go now to Bolivia, where the state book publisher presented on Wednesday
