00:00 Now that the NFL draft is over, it's time to take a look at who's going to win next year's Super Bowl.
00:05 Vegas has the odds set right now. We're going to discuss some of the favorites and maybe a few long shots with Jamie Eisner and Frank Taddeo, two of our gambling analysts here at Sports Illustrated.
00:16 Jamie, I'll go to you. Let's run through some of the favorites for next year's Super Bowl. What do you got?
00:21 Yeah, two AFC teams remain at the top. Kansas City, the defending champs, come in at plus 400 as the favorites to win the Super Bowl right now. Just behind them, the Baltimore Ravens at plus 650.
00:32 Then you get San Francisco at plus 700 to round out the top three. And I know for those of you that are interested, because there are a lot of them out there, the Dallas Cowboys come in at 15 to 1 as the sixth best odds to win the Super Bowl.
00:44 But as you see, the elite in the AFC from last season dominate the top of the current odds.
00:50 Frankie, let me go over to you because the Vegas books really haven't changed a lot of the odds too much. Are they waiting for the schedule to come out?
00:58 No, to be honest, Bill, I think that really what we see is that the NFL draft was able to take place.
01:04 However, the coronavirus pandemic took away the ability of Vegas handle to really see immense amounts of support.
01:12 Without the draft being here in Vegas, the oddsmakers really don't like to move their numbers on air.
01:18 And right now would be a being virtually no handle at almost all of the books on this particular market right now because the fans weren't here to immediately bet on the teams and their favorite teams while they were here attending the NFL draft in Vegas.
01:32 Right now, the handle is virtually non-existent.
01:35 So we're not really seeing much movement outside of possibly a little bit of movement that we saw with the news that Rob Gronkowski joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
01:44 The odds on that team on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they dropped just slightly from like 14 to 1, 13 to 1, depending on where you looked.
01:51 But really, there was really no movement after the draft.
01:53 And that was due to the fact that there really was no handle at all due to the pandemic.
01:58 This is something we're going to keep an eye on all summer long.
02:01 And when there's a major update, we'll give you an update.
02:04 Thanks, guys.
