Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn discusses the NFL's push for 17 regular-season games.
Transcript
00:00Coach, Roger Goodell spoke today about the league's plan to push for 17 games.
00:06Now you've played in the 16 game era and you've coached in it.
00:08How does the possibility of 17 games affect your preparation?
00:12If it doesn't, if it does go into effect.
00:14I don't think 17 games affect our preparation at all.
00:17At one point, it was 14 games, we went to 16.
00:21I don't think it affected anybody in there.
00:22So whatever we decide to do, we're gonna adjust.
00:26Did you play the year that they had the 16 over 18 games?
00:3192, 93?
00:34Yeah, yeah, I remember that.
00:35Just, if you do 17 over 18 weeks, hypothetically,
00:40how much of a longer season and time is that compared to the four and 16 now?
00:46Well, if you plan on being in the postseason afterwards,
00:49then it doesn't phase you, but just another week or two.
00:54Like I said, we've done a good job of adjusting to whatever the league does.
00:58And I know they're gonna do what's best for our game.
