00:00 Joe Burrow may have been the first quarterback drafted in 2020, but now let's find out where
00:05 he and the other rookie quarterbacks rank on Sports Illustrated's Fantasy Football Dynasty
00:10 Rankings.
00:11 Let's bring on SI Fantasy analyst Frank Tadeo and All Bangles editor James Rapine.
00:16 James, I'm going to start with you because Burrow was the first pick and the first quarterback
00:20 taken in this year's draft.
00:22 When it comes to Dynasty Fantasy Football, you know, quarterbacks don't always go that
00:26 high, typically running backs and wide receivers go, but from what I understand, you said Burrow
00:31 went 12th overall in one of your leagues.
00:35 He did, and it's a Cincinnati-based league, so there may be a little bit of bias there,
00:40 but I think there's a lot of optimism that Joe Burrow could have early fantasy value.
00:45 And you look at the weapons around him and it's hard to debate that.
00:49 If A.J. Green is healthy, has he ever had a quarterback with the upside of Joe Burrow?
00:55 I don't think at any point during Andy Dalton's nine-year career did we think he had upside
00:59 to be as good as Joe Burrow, even as a rookie.
01:02 So I think when you look at the weapons, A.J.
01:05 Green, they drafted T. Higgins, Tyler Boyd, back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, a former
01:10 top-10 pick in John Ross, Auden Tate might be the best fifth wide receiver in the NFL.
01:15 So Joe Burrow, from a weapons standpoint, is set up for success in year one.
01:21 Again, we are talking rookie-only drafts, so let's focus on some of the other quarterbacks.
01:27 Frank, why don't you give us some analysis on guys like Tua Tungvaluwa, Jordan Love,
01:32 Jalen Hurts, any of them going to make an impact in fantasy football in 2020?
01:37 Yeah, well, I think the guy that really jumps out off the page for me in year one would
01:42 probably be Justin Herbert.
01:44 I just am not really sold that Tyrod Taylor can be the guy that the Chargers need to go
01:51 to the next level.
01:52 I actually envision there's going to be a point at this season where Herbert actually
01:56 takes the job, if not maybe even wins it in training camp, if they can come back and get
02:00 enough practices under his belt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
02:04 But if there's a chance for a guy who will really jump off the page in year one for me,
02:09 it's Herbert.
02:10 I'm not really so sure that Tua is really going to have the opportunity in 2020 for
02:14 the Miami Dolphins.
02:16 I think he's actually going to be a guy that maybe they're going to look to bring along
02:18 slowly due to that hip injury.
02:20 We know they already have a veteran that's very capable in terms of Ryan Fitzpatrick
02:26 to be able to lead the team.
02:27 But for me, Tua is a guy that definitely in Dynasty Leagues, he's a guy that I actually
02:31 would let other owners more or less invest the draft capital in.
02:35 And then if I see that he actually outperformed my early expectations and can come back and
02:41 really come back and come back strong from that hip injury, then as a guy that you would
02:45 want to target in terms of maybe a trade down the line.
02:49 But for me, it's Burrow and Herbert this year that I would really be looking to target in
02:54 Dynasty Leagues, Bill.
02:56 James and Frank, we appreciate your analysis.
