00:00 It's been great.
00:05 It's a great room.
00:07 You know, many -- most often, I mean, I hop in all the rooms,
00:11 you know, hop in each position room from here and there,
00:13 but I'm in the quarterback room more than any other room.
00:15 And it's a dynamic room.
00:17 There's, you know, I mean, relationships take time to build,
00:20 so Phillip's new to the equation,
00:21 and Jacob's new to the equation, so --
00:24 but because Phillip has 16, 17 years of experience,
00:29 you know, it doesn't take long to see and feel his presence,
00:33 and Jacobi's been a complete pro,
00:37 and those two -- those two,
00:38 it's like they've been together for a while.
00:40 I mean, both from NC State, both went to NC State.
00:43 I don't know. They both play --
00:44 there's a brotherhood amongst quarterbacks.
00:47 You think that was hard for Jacobi,
00:48 if you don't mind me butting in?
00:50 I mean -- Yeah, I do think it was hard.
00:52 I do think -- How did he handle that?
00:54 Just like you -- just like you guys know he would.
00:56 I mean, he's a pro,
00:58 and he wants to do what's right for the team,
01:00 and he knows -- he and I have had multiple conversations,
01:04 you know, about that, but Jacobi doesn't need me
01:07 to tell him what to do. He knows what to do.
01:10 I'm his friend, and I'm his coach,
01:11 so I try to -- and I've been in his position to some degree,
01:16 so, you know, do I try to lend an encouraging voice
01:21 every now and then? Yeah.
01:23 But he's doing it the right way.
01:25 We need him to be who he is this year
01:28 for us to get where we want to go,
01:30 whether that means he ends up playing some games
01:33 or playing a number of plays,
01:35 or even if he's just there to support Philip and his team,
01:40 Jacobi will be a big part of our success.
01:44 Kevin Bowen.
01:46 Hey, Frank, appreciate your time all spring and your candor.
01:50 I think a few weeks ago, and I'm paraphrasing here,
01:52 you mentioned how you feel even better about Philip
01:55 and the move you guys made.
01:57 I guess what are you seeing specifically virtually
02:00 that makes you feel like,
02:02 wow, this is even better than I thought it would be?
02:06 The interaction with the team virtually, that's crazy.
02:12 I mean, like, it's crazy, but that's what we have.
02:16 And you just know it because you know Philip at his core --
02:20 I said this early on in the process --
02:21 Philip at his core as much as anything is a great teammate.
02:26 He's a great teammate.
02:28 And, like, that's --
02:32 like, in his circle of personal identity,
02:35 it's great teammate is way, way up there.
02:40 And that just comes out.
02:42 It's just going to come out, and it's going to come out further
02:44 when we get together.
02:45 And then you just see the command that he has.
02:47 I mean, I've mentioned this to you guys.
02:49 He's got such command on football,
02:54 on the subject of football and Xs and Os
02:58 and the little nuances of what it takes to be great.
03:01 And not only the schematic expertise,
03:05 but the little -- the game-within-the-game
03:07 expertise.
03:08 I mean, this guy is brilliant.
03:12 But he's not just brilliant smart.
03:13 He's tough.
03:15 There's many countless stories about his physical toughness
03:18 and his mental toughness.
03:19 So really excited to have Philip.
