00:00 Hey there, Fernando Ramirez for Sports Illustrated.
00:03 Just another bad loss for the Chargers.
00:05 They get down at the end of the game.
00:07 They bring the ball back and are able to get within the red zone.
00:11 They get to within five yards and the Chargers run a fade route to Mike Williams.
00:15 He ends up coming down with the ball but he lets go of it at the end of the, at the right
00:21 when he comes down and no touchdown.
00:25 Next play.
00:26 They run a fade route with a 6'9" tight end, Donald Parham.
00:31 And at first it looks like he comes down with it.
00:33 The Chargers go around, they celebrate, they get excited.
00:36 When you look at the TV it looked like a sign of relief, like a sigh of relief just of them
00:40 thinking, "Wow, we finally got one."
00:42 Referees go and review it and they find out that Parham had actually dropped the ball
00:47 and there was no touchdown.
00:48 Anthony Lynn told us after the game that he felt like there was a touchdown, that he felt
00:52 like it should have been upheld but it was not.
00:56 Chargers fall to 2-6 on the season.
00:58 Talking after with some of the players, they're kind of at a loss for words.
01:03 They are trying to see what is going on.
01:05 Last week they gave up a 21 point lead to the Denver Broncos and they lose the game.
01:11 They've been giving up tough losses this season.
01:13 This was the game where they were behind most of the game.
01:16 They go up at halftime and then in the second half the Raiders come straight out and two
01:21 quick touchdowns.
01:22 Both of them were throw, what set up the touchdowns, one was a Nelson Aguilar touchdown.
01:27 He was on Casey.
01:28 Casey Hayward was on guarding him.
01:30 Scores a touchdown, next drive for the Raiders.
01:33 Derek Harfine's Hunter Renfro wide open down the field.
01:38 Casey Hayward was trailing him.
01:40 So now it's a question of what is going on and that's what the Chargers are asking.
01:45 What is going on?
01:47 And Keenan Allen said that it's really a question of what's been going on the whole season.
01:53 And that's what the players don't know what to put their fingers on.
01:56 But the clear message is they're going to keep on fighting.
01:59 Keenan Allen, Hunter Henry, Justin Herbert said they're going to keep on fighting and
02:03 they know they have to keep on fighting this season to get something out of this season.
02:08 There's been questions about Anthony Lynn, his job, defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
02:12 Justin Herbert said that he believes in the coaching staff, he believes in this team.
02:16 He knows that they're going to continue fighting and they're going to get better results as
02:20 the season goes along.
02:21 And then he was asked, do you feel like your teammates believe in Anthony Lynn and the
02:27 coaching staff?
02:28 He said 100%.
02:29 That was it.
02:30 100% was his statement.
02:33 So according to the quarterback, the team believes in the coaching staff.
02:38 Next week they get rookie quarterback Tua Tungabailoa.
02:41 That'll be a big pay-per-view matchup, if you will.
02:46 It'll be rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, who has been just phenomenal this whole season.
02:50 Even today he showed a lot of very good stuff.
02:53 He put a 50-yard pass on Tyron Johnson between two defenders right in his hands.
02:59 So it'll be Justin Herbert versus Tua Tungabailoa.
03:02 The Dolphins have been very good the last few games.
03:05 Their defense has been really taking over for them in some games.
03:09 Tua had a very strong game again today.
03:12 So that's going to be a very interesting matchup.
03:14 But the Chargers say that they're going to keep on looking, seeing what tweaks they can
03:18 make.
03:19 Mike Williams did go down with an injury towards the end of the game.
03:23 Right tackle Brian Bulaga was injured.
03:25 He's been having back issues again on the second play of the game.
03:32 It flared up again and he was out.
03:34 So some injuries to keep an eye on.
03:36 Joey Bosa did not play tonight with a concussion.
03:39 So a lot of things for the Chargers to dissect.
03:43 But they will be heading to Miami next weekend.
03:46 Again the Chargers lost tonight to the Raiders 31-26.
03:48 They are now 2-6 on the season.
