00:00It's time to set your lineups for week 12 and you need to know who to start in the quarterback
00:06position to win your fantasy matchup.
00:08Well, don't worry, SI's fantasy analyst Michael Fabiano is joining me now with that insight.
00:14Fabs, let's start with the QBs that you like for this week.
00:18Kim Newton, he's been Superman lately, right?
00:20Looking at his numbers, he's averaged nearly 20 fantasy points per game since week 8.
00:25He's rushed for 4 touchdowns in that time.
00:27He's got 9 rushing touchdowns on the season.
00:29That's always big from a fantasy perspective.
00:31He's got the Cardinals this week.
00:34Their defense has allowed an average of nearly 20 points per game to quarterbacks.
00:37They've also allowed the third most rushing yards to signal callers, which is big.
00:42So Cam is a top 12 play this week and so is Taysom Hill.
00:47Not eligible at tight end anymore, but he is still a quarterback and he gave you more
00:51than 24 fantasy points last week against Atlanta.
00:55This week, he's got the Broncos.
00:56Their defense has allowed an average of over 18 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks
01:01this season.
01:02In fact, they have given up four 20-point performances to signal callers, including
01:08Sam Darnold, who plays for the Jets and isn't all that good.
01:12So Taysom Hill is a player that I would start – are you ready for this, Caitlin?
01:17– over Lamar Jackson this week.
01:20Welcome to 2020.
01:21Wow, that is impressive to hear, Fabs.
01:25Good insight, though.
01:27Let's talk about two more quarterbacks that are also on your list.
01:30Tom Brady vs. the Kansas City Chiefs and Derek Carr vs. the Falcons.
01:35But who are the QBs fantasy managers should stay away from, Fabs?
01:40– Carson Wentz scares me.
01:41I know the matchup's really good this week against Seattle, but his numbers have been
01:44horrible.
01:45I mean, he's failed to score 15 fantasy points in a game since Week 7.
01:49He's turning the ball over way too much.
01:51He's got 14 picks already.
01:53Seattle, now they have been bad against quarterbacks.
01:56But lately, they've been better.
01:58The last two quarterbacks to face them have only averaged 15 fantasy points per game,
02:03including Jared Goff, who has held the 10.5.
02:06So I'm fading Wentz on Monday Night Football.
02:08And then Baker Mayfield, kind of the same thing.
02:10The matchup's actually really good this week.
02:13But I just don't trust Baker.
02:15He's had one game with more than 16 fantasy points this season.
02:19That's it.
02:20And it was against the Cincinnati Bengals.
02:22And about a third of his touchdown passes came in one game against Cincinnati.
02:26And the Jaguars' defense has actually held two of the last three visiting quarterbacks
02:31to fewer than 17 fantasy points, including Ben Roethlisberger last week.
02:35So I know the matchup looks good.
02:38I think the Browns are going to run the football a lot, and this is not going to be a good
02:41game script situation for Baker Mayfield, who, oh, by the way, just isn't a good fantasy
02:46quarterback.
02:47– Yeah, you can't trust him.
02:49– And the other guys that you can't trust this week, Jared Goff and Kirk Cousin-Febbs.
02:53Thanks so much for your insight.
