Husky quarterback commit from Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, California) shares his thoughts after visiting UW.

00:00Alright Dash, so correct me if I'm wrong but you planned this trip to come up to
00:04Seattle for this event. Yes. You get the MVP, how do you feel you did? I mean I feel like I did
00:08really well. A lot of good competition out here today. It was a great trip. I mean I got to go to
00:14Washington yesterday, watched them practice, watched the playbook, get to see them play, which is great.
00:19And then next year I got to come out here and ball out and I'm glad I got MVP'd.
00:23So how was that visit to Washington? Because I know that was the first time you've been up since the new staff.
00:27Yep. So how did that go? It was great. I mean they still always show me that same love.
00:31Coach Dowdery, Fish, all those guys, Josh.
00:35It was great and it was cool to kind of get a sense of almost being a player, like
00:39being in that little quarterback. They have a great quarterback team right now and it's great to
00:43learn and talk to them and see what they think about football and their base.
00:47And now with them having two freshman quarterbacks, did that factor into your decision at all
00:51knowing that there's going to be three young guys in that room next year with you being in there?
00:55I mean not exactly. I mean those are really two great players and
00:59I just know that anywhere you go you're going to find that kind of competition
01:03so I'm just going to try and step up and try and beat it out and win the job.
01:07And so what was it about Washington, obviously I'm assuming a large part of it was due to the
01:11coaching staff, but what was it about those guys that kind of showed you that they were the right ones to develop you
01:15in the future? I mean I took a good amount of trips around some schools
01:19and talked to some coaches and they definitely showed a lot of love and they
01:23cared a lot for me and my future and I know Fish and all those
01:27guys will definitely take care of my future and that's why I wanted to go to Washington.
01:31And have you been, I'm assuming you have, but have there been any guys in the 25-26
01:35class that you're trying to get to enjoy with you? Oh yeah, I'm going to start talking with coach, get a list
01:39and try and get them right in.
