00:00 Hello folks, we're back at the Pizza Museum and in this one we're going to have a look

00:06 at Tesla.

00:07 We're going to have a look at where Tesla started, where they are now and where they're

00:10 going in future.

00:11 There's some crazy stuff in this, including something very special around the Cybertruck.

00:17 Keep watching.

00:19 So we're now looking at a floor of Tesla for all you EV fans and perhaps those that are

00:24 not such fans.

00:26 This is the prototype of the Model S and the Model S really sort of dawned a new era

00:31 for EVs, mass produced, long range, fairly luxurious cars.

00:36 And then we've got a completely sort of deconstructed Tesla Model Y and this is really cool because

00:41 you get to see just sort of how an EV is made up.

00:45 Down here we've got the battery pack, which lots of people think of these huge old fashioned

00:51 sort of car batteries, but as you can see, actually not that big, but incredibly dense

00:57 and still very heavy.

01:00 And then we've got obviously the interior of the car.

01:03 This one's a twin motor version.

01:05 You've got the motors that sit on each axle and there's not a great deal to it.

01:09 It says here gasoline powered vehicles normally contain about 30,000 components, while EVs

01:14 employs less than half as many.

01:16 An entire Tesla drivetrain contains about a dozen moving parts compared to about 200

01:23 in a traditional engine.

01:25 This is a very impressive art installation as much as anything else, but really cool

01:29 to see all the parts that make up a modern Tesla.

01:33 Here we've got the original 2008 Tesla Roadster.

01:36 Jeremy Clarkson famously got into very hot water over one of these because he slugged

01:41 it off something rotten on Top Gear and ended up with a lawsuit, if memory serves me correctly.

01:48 We've got another Model S here, but not deconstructed like the Model Y we saw earlier.

01:52 They're showing you the chassis and drivetrain for a dual motor version.

01:58 And as you can see, it's just so simple, yet incredibly complex.

02:08 Here's the Model S Plaid, which is the absolutely bananas Model S, 396 miles range, 0-60 in

02:16 1.99 seconds, 200 miles an hour and 1020 horsepower.

02:25 I haven't driven one of those yet, but I'd like to.

02:30 And if you're not aware, Elon Musk is known for not taking himself too seriously some

02:36 of the time, but the model range, the Model S, the Model 3, then the Model X, then the

02:42 Model Y.

02:43 Sexy.

02:46 Another gift to the museum from Tesla was the prototype of the Model X.

02:50 And we've also got the prototype of the Model 3.

02:54 Again, a gift from Tesla.

02:57 And of course, if they're giving you the prototypes for the other cars, why not also throw in

03:02 the Model Y.

03:04 Now this one is very, very cool.

03:06 The 2017 Tesla Roadster 2.

03:09 This is the deck model.

03:11 Very cool.

03:12 Can't wait to see what that looks like when it finally comes out.

03:14 If indeed it does look like that.

03:17 We've got, check this out, a scale model during the design phase of the semi.

03:25 And then of course, we have the Cybertruck.

03:30 And they've also got the quad bike.

03:33 I think it's called the Cyber Quad.

03:37 And that was originally shown with the Cybertruck, which we have here.

03:43 This is the Cybertruck prototype and the Cyber Quad prototype.

03:47 You've also got a kid's Cyber Quad.

03:51 Look at that.

03:52 My little boy would give his right eye for one of those.

03:56 Look at this thing.

03:59 They don't provide you with a baseball bat to have a go at the bulletproof glass windows,

04:03 unsurprisingly.

04:05 That didn't go so well last time.

04:10 But what I think.

04:13 In fact, here is the sledgehammer.

04:15 Sorry, I said baseball bat, of course, sledgehammer.

04:19 Here it is.

04:21 This is the one that Elon Musk put through the window and the steel ball that was thrown

04:26 at it.

04:27 That's the Cyber Quad.

04:30 Bonkers.

04:33 Here we've got sort of a mock up of the Model S Plaid interior.

04:38 So you've got the huge screen, you've got the yoke, no indicators on this.

04:42 You've just got like haptics here.

04:44 Personally, I like an indicator stalk.

04:47 You have to choose your drive select up here.

04:49 They've got Netflix on here at the moment, but you've got the full infotainment system.

04:54 This screen is crystal clear and just insane.

04:59 Really, the clarity on it is unbelievable.

05:03 The color.

05:04 Awesome.

05:05 And obviously, you've got all the media functions and silly toys that you expect to find on

05:09 a Tesla infotainment system.

05:12 Round the back here as well, Dennis is going to walk around and show you is the rear screen,

05:17 which is now coming out on some new Teslas, including the new Highland Model 3.
