00:00 (announcement of the project)
00:08 The project is a self-sustaining trust fund, which was established under the Trust Fund Act 1992.
00:19 The fund provides microcredit to support activities that can increase and increase household income.
00:32 Since its establishment, the fund has helped almost a million women entrepreneurs across Indonesia,
00:40 regardless of race, religion, and race is not everyone.
00:45 However, the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is still low compared to the number of Malaysian entrepreneurs.
00:54 Therefore, we hope that a good cooperation can be built together with our respected Dato' today
01:03 to recruit more entrepreneurs from Indonesia to create microcredit financing provided by the fund,
01:13 which will help them increase household income and also help them get out of this poverty.
01:24 This morning, I am very fortunate and am pleased to announce that
01:31 AIM has allocated RM50 million in the Women's Foundation of India.
01:43 The RM50 million allocation is specifically for Indian women entrepreneurs
01:50 through the Women's Foundation of India program.
01:55 This is a large amount of money provided by AIM to realize the desire and hope
02:02 that our respected Prime Minister has for ensuring that there is no minority in our development.
02:11 The RM50 million that AIM uses will be beneficial to more than 7,100 new Indian women entrepreneurs
02:23 and will make the number of Indian women entrepreneurs who benefit from the Indian Women's Finance Scheme
02:31 to 10,200.
02:35 I, as the Minister of Finance, am very confident with the ability of AIM
02:45 that the program will be known as PIM.
02:49 Many people will ask, what is PIM?
02:53 PIM is Prosperity, Empowerment and a New Normal for Indian Women.
03:01 This will create many micro-businesses from India
03:07 that can contribute to the more sustainable development of the country's economy.
03:12 This program is also another step to develop, empower and enhance the quality of Indian women in Malaysia
03:21 along with the Malaysian economy.
03:25 For your information, this PIM program can be held on 15 April 2024
03:34 at 124 branches of AIM in the country.
03:40 This program is a meaningful gift for all of us
03:44 on the 14th of April, which is tomorrow, the new Tamil New Year.
