A special fund of RM50mil has been allocated for Indian women micro-entrepreneurs to expand their business and elevate their economic status, says Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan.

The Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister on Saturday (April 13) said that the fund under Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) was an effort to assist small businesses run by Malaysian Indian women aged 18 and above.

00:08 The project is a self-sustaining trust fund, which was established under the Trust Fund Act 1992.
00:19 The fund provides microcredit to support activities that can increase and increase household income.

01:43 The RM50 million allocation is specifically for Indian women entrepreneurs
01:50 through the Women's Foundation of India program.
01:55 This is a large amount of money provided by AIM to realize the desire and hope
02:02 that our respected Prime Minister has for ensuring that there is no minority in our development.
02:11 The RM50 million that AIM uses will be beneficial to more than 7,100 new Indian women entrepreneurs
02:23 and will make the number of Indian women entrepreneurs who benefit from the Indian Women's Finance Scheme
02:31 to 10,200.
02:35 I, as the Minister of Finance, am very confident with the ability of AIM
02:45 that the program will be known as PIM.

02:53 PIM is Prosperity, Empowerment and a New Normal for Indian Women.
