00:03 I'm Sophie, and welcome to the Black Horse in Klimping,
00:09 the latest addition to our collection
00:12 of historic Sussex hotels.
00:13 We've been open three weeks.
00:15 We bought the hotel in 2019, and I'm
00:18 delighted to have just reopened our doors
00:20 following extensive renovation.
00:22 We've got seven bedrooms, all individually
00:24 decorated with wallpaper from our friend and neighbor Fiona
00:28 Havard, who lives just down the road,
00:30 inspired by Klimping and the local area.
00:33 We've got beautiful Rye Bank, which
00:35 is a high-ceiling restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
00:38 And then, of course, the bar, which I think
00:40 has the longest pewter bar in Sussex.
00:42 We have our own ale, Black Horse Ale.
00:45 We have lots of plans for live music
00:48 on the second and fourth Friday of every night,
00:51 and quiz nights on Wednesday nights.
00:53 Everybody's welcome.
00:54 We're delighted to have seen the locals coming in and embracing
00:57 what we hope will become a key part of the community.
01:01 We've retained as many historical features as
01:04 possible, so we carefully restored the parquet floor
01:07 and the bonket seating.
01:09 And then we've added fun things like this pink room, which
01:11 is for a fun Sunday lunch or a noisy dinner party
01:15 or a cozy meal with friends.
01:17 So we hope you'll come and see us soon.
