00:00 That will run until Monday the 1st of April and the offences that will attract double
00:11 demerits are speeding, seatbelt offences, mobile phones and motorcycle helmet offences.
00:16 Definitely, so there's going to be an increase of local police on the road but as well as
00:20 deployments from different areas that come to this area, mid north coast, Coffs mid coast,
00:25 mainly because obviously the holiday traffic that's an influx of people that come to the
00:29 coastal towns.
00:30 So we expect some traffic congestion particularly around Coffs Harbour and also on the Pacific
00:35 Highway.
00:36 So the message we just want to get out is that people are well rested, they address
00:40 their fatigue, take plenty of breaks and just take your time getting to your destination.
00:47 It's obviously, generally people travel a lot in a shorter period of time so just take
00:52 your time and arrive safely.
00:54 Well it's mainly just the Pacific Highway because people tend to get to their destinations
00:57 along the Pacific Highway but on your local roads as well there will be congestion so
01:01 just be patient.
01:02 As I said we will be out in force so if you're going to commit any offences like speeding
01:07 or drug or drink driving expect to be caught and we'll be addressing also the dangerous
01:13 driving and any reckless type of behaviour.
01:15 Don't risk it, you will be caught and also let's just get to your location safely.
01:20 We're ramping up the drug testing and the alcohol testing so expect to be stopped and
01:25 you know please be patient and just go along with the traffic and the flow.
01:29 Thank you.
01:30 Thank you.
