00:00 The results are just about to come in, if not coming in. How are you feeling?
00:04 Yeah look it's been a great campaign. I know our team has just worked so hard
00:08 over the last five and six weeks out in our communities and really speaking with our
00:14 communities and listening about hopes for the future and issues that we really need
00:18 that certain instability to address. You've been elected on countbacks a few times now,
00:23 how confident are you to get elected in your own right?
00:26 Oh look I know we've been doing a lot of hard work in our community and really standing strong for
00:31 the people of this region. So ultimately it's up to the people of the North West,
00:35 the West Coast and King Island but we're really pleased with the work that we've done
00:40 and the plan that we've put to the people of Braddon as well. You know our 2030 strong plan
00:45 has spoken to people across a range of different issues around cost of living, health, housing
00:50 and standing up for regional jobs which are you know the economic driver of our state as well.
00:55 How many seats do you think is realistic for the North West?
00:59 Well look that'll be up to the Tasmanian people. It's not for us to decide how many they decide
01:04 or how many of us they decide to put in but look we've been working hard for every vote
01:10 and we're really committed to delivering for the Tasmanian people from the outcome. Obviously we
01:15 sought a majority government so that we can have certainty and stability for Tasmania because
01:20 Tasmania and Tasmanian industries do best under a majority government. So that's what we're seeking
01:26 and have been seeking over the course of this election.
01:28 Is there anything you would like to add before the votes come in tonight?
01:32 Look just a huge thank you to all the people in our community for their time on the doorstep,
01:39 you know sharing what really matters to them and their family, the small businesses that have
01:44 been keeping us fed and watered over the last five or six weeks and allowing us time and space to
01:50 you know tour their facilities, tell us about the work that they do which really in many cases for
01:55 the North West and West Coast and King Island is world beating. So to be able to just share a bit
02:00 of time together I just want to say thank you for all of that support and thank you to all of our
02:05 supporters as well. People that have backed us in, done the hard work, put up signs, door knock,
02:10 letter box, everything else. It takes a real village to run an election campaign and to cover
02:17 such a huge area like Braddon. So we're just so grateful for all of that support and the time of
02:23 the Tasmanian people.
