00:02 - Welcome back to the Arizona Daily Mix.
00:13 We are live here at Westgate for the Sandson Ford
00:16 Police Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics.
00:19 And I have two special people with me, which are awesome.
00:22 And that is Mr. Tim from CanX
00:24 and Priscilla from the Mix 96.9.
00:27 How are you doing?
00:28 - Fantastic, how are you?
00:29 - I'm so awesome because again,
00:31 this is like a reunion in a way.
00:33 I get to see Tim, I get to see my law officer friends,
00:36 but we also get to see those Special Olympic athletes
00:38 who are just amazing.
00:40 And this is like their time to come out and shine.
00:42 - It's the best time of year to be in the Valley.
00:44 And this time of year,
00:46 we always have the Guardian Games here at Westgate.
00:48 Yeah, there's all these fun activities to go,
00:51 for the athletes to go through,
00:52 but you know, between them
00:53 and all of their law enforcement partners,
00:55 it's just a great vibe.
00:56 Priscilla has said it earlier,
00:57 she loves the aesthetic out here.

01:01 - It's a good aesthetic, the vibes are good,
01:03 the energy's on point and the athletes are amazing.
01:06 We're having such a good time.
01:07 - This is your second year doing this.
01:08 So I gotta ask you, last year, how much fun did you have?
01:13 - It was a blast.
01:14 In fact, I don't know if you know this,
01:16 but my younger sister is autistic
01:18 and I am gonna bring her next year.
01:19 This year it didn't work out,
01:20 but I'm like, I'm for sure bringing her
01:21 because she would enjoy it so much.
01:23 - So you know how important the Special Olympics
01:25 are to families and how raising the money out here
01:27 and us doing this, it's gonna benefit,
01:29 not just as we said here in the Valley,
01:30 but all across Arizona.
01:31 - Yeah, absolutely.
01:33 You know, environments like this and events like this
01:35 really make people like my sister feel included
01:38 and involved and like they belong.
01:40 And that's why I love Sanderson Ford
01:41 and all they're doing for these special athletes.
01:43 - And you guys are doing, I think,
01:45 the coolest game next, well, mine is better.
01:47 Anyways, I'm sorry, I had to say it, mine's Family Feud.
01:49 But you guys are doing,
01:50 dude, why you say it like that, why you doing that?
01:52 - I just, you're a natural.
01:54 I mean, of course, Family Feud is probably,
01:56 you're gonna take over for Steve Harvey from what I hear.
01:58 - Yeah, that's right, I'm your man.
02:00 Here you guys are getting into, of course,
02:03 Sanderson Ford boards and playing a game.
02:05 - Yeah, we play 10 songs, little clips of 10 songs
02:08 with DJ Smiles and they have to, we call it Beat Shazam,
02:11 but it's basically name that tune.
02:13 They write down the name of the song and the artist
02:15 and it's a mix of everything.
02:16 It's the kind of music I play on KNIX,
02:18 it's Priscilla's music,
02:20 it's what's on Priscilla's secret playlist.
02:22 She's kind of Beyonce, I don't know if you know that.
02:25 And people write down the songs and we all have a good time
02:27 so it all happens right here at Beat Shazam
02:29 at the Guardian Games.
02:30 - And what's really cool is that the athletes are so quick,
02:34 better than the other team members that are with them,
02:37 the businesses and stuff.
02:38 - I know, I've been in radio for, what, 12 years
02:41 and I think they know some of the songs better than I do.
02:43 To be honest, they do such a great job.
02:45 - All right, now this is the question I have.
02:47 Since we're here, we could go ahead and say,
02:49 all right, we know we're gonna hear Texas Hold 'Em, I know,
02:51 but is it coming from the mix or is it coming from KNIX?
02:55 - That's a great question.
