FBI Sends Letters To January Boeing Flight Passengers
  • last month
Passengers on board the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 that experienced the midair door blowout in January were sent a letter from the FBI informing them they "may be victims of a crime". The letters say that the FBI is currently investigating the case and also reads in part "I'm contacting you because we have identified you as a possible victim of a crime". The letter was sent to them earlier this week coming from the FBI office in Seattle according to attorney Mark Lindquist, who represents multiple passengers.
Lindquist reacted to the news telling CNN, "My clients and I welcome the DOJ investigation. We want accountability. We want answers. We want safer Boeing planes and a DOJ investigation helps advance our goals".
