00:00 So the community hubs here to offer a sort of space for people of the
00:07 Wolves End area to come and join in different activities so not just
00:11 football that the Boys Club is sort of renowned for, the aim is to provide a
00:16 range of different activities from young people all the way through to sort of
00:20 retired people as well to sort of help improve their their lifestyle through
00:25 sort of health and sport. Some might be familiar with Wolves End Boys Club
00:28 with it being renowned for producing players like Alan Shearer and Elliot
00:32 Anderson. Up to 92 ex-members of the club have even made their first team
00:36 professional debut. Now residents are becoming familiar with the club's newly
00:40 opened community hub, Sporting Wolves End, which welcomes anyone of any age
00:45 regardless of their sporting ability. Well we've got early years groups running,
00:50 we've got an elderly men's club on a Monday morning, we're currently in the
00:55 process of setting up a mother and babies group as well where sort of young
01:00 parents can come along and sort of address sort of loneliness, mental health
01:04 issues and things like that. So we're just trying to provide a space that
01:07 people from Wolves End and maybe other areas of North Tyneside and Newcastle can
01:12 come along and feel part of something. They've mentioned sort of, A, it gives them
01:16 somewhere to go, B, it sort of reduces loneliness and things like that that
01:21 they might have felt especially coming out the back of COVID as well over the
01:25 Easter holidays. We're running a holiday and activity food provision which has
01:29 been commissioned by North Tyneside Council. Now the aim of that project is to
01:33 try and engage as many children who are on means-tested free school meals as
01:38 well as those who might suffer through like the cost of living crisis and
01:41 things like that. So we're trying to provide activity and food for
01:45 children like that throughout the holiday periods. We are here and we're
01:49 not just Wolves End Boys Club, we're not just a football club. We always try to
01:53 say that we're more than football so this community hub's here for everyone to
01:57 use and everyone to come down and feel a part of something.
